GSW are on TNT (national America TV channel) heaps of times during the season!! It's an all star game, about players, team records shouldn't pay any part in picking. Also GSW Average 18,668 fans a game, 10th in the NBA.
Deron Williams plays for Nets (I love you with all my heart D-Will (no homo) your my fav player) and they got no national TV games and are second last in attendance. So seeing NJ don't have a big fan base d-will shouldn't be in it?
The only way Monta could have got in would have been at the expense of either Westbrook, Nash or Parker!
Nash and Parker are more than just scorers.... they are leaders! When TP has a 40 pt game, the Spurs come away with a win because he drives the rest of the team at the same time. Nash is very much the same.
Monta has been explosive this year, but has also shown some of weaknesses at he same time. I think not making it this year will do him good and make him work on the few things he still needs to so he can be an all-star next yer.
Dirk hasn't played well in a fair few games this year, but neither have the rest of the Mavs. He is still, IMO, the hardest forward in the league to match up on as well as having the most undefendable (if that's a word) jump shot in the NBA! There are very few people that have ever had a jump shot as sweet as Dirk's, especially as a 7 footer!!!

Parker has been putting up similar numbers to Monta lately but does a LOT more work in running the team than Monta does!
When Monta had 48 the other day, he had only 2 assists!
When TP had 42 the other day, he also had 9 assists!
Monta 33pts vs Utah... only 2 assists
TP 37 pts vs Philly..... 8 assists
There is more to the game than just points!!! And TP has been doing those other things better than Monta!!!
unfortunately for you Monta fans the reserves are chosen by the coaches. and they always go for players they want on their team
Monta is exciting as hell, but he's a chucker and that trait is not desirable for any coach. NBA coaches are wired to pick sensibly and would never waste a pick on someone like Monta. If they thought like us they wouldn't get to that level
