I know a lot of people will be happy to see Love there, and Aldridge gets some recognition too.

East reserves:

Bosh
Joe Johnson
Deng
Pierce
Iguodala
Hibbert
Deron

West reserves:

Love
Aldridge
Westbrook
Nash
M Gasol
Nowitzki
Parker

I think they've done a pretty good job. Good to see Deng get some recognition as he's having a good season, Nash and Gasol are deserving too IMO.

Seems strange to see no Duncan or Garnett but I agree that they don't deserve to be there.

Do you think anybody should have been picked instead of one of those chosen players? If so, why?

I put this In the season thread ... I guess you made a more appropriate place to put It ? ... I almost shut the damn TV off when Barkley said Steve Nash SHOULDN'T of been an All Star this year ... He SHOULD have been one last year too ! 2nd best point guard In basketball history ! They said he hasn't been playing like an all-star ... yet he LEADS the NBA In assists at 38 years old ... made the winning bucket the other night on his birthday ... Averaging 15 points and 10 assists this season ... they showed stats from Magic, Stockton, Isiah Thomas etc from when they were all older and the stats were not even close to Steve's ! ... Nash and Grant are the ONLY two guys on that Phoenix team that don't screw up every game. Nash Is STILL In amazing shape, runs the floor like no one else ... STILL makes the people around him better ... Very happy he made the All Star team this year. =D> =D> =D> .... I don't really care about the other guys making It (where's KG !?) ... For the most part It's just a popularity contest.

Yeah Rob I read that there, but thought it would be better discussed if it had its own thread... so all the people can come in and say that Nash should have been replaced by... Monta Ellis for example...

Very glad to see Nash back in there. Probably helps with Deron moving east but Nash has by far been the only thing keeping the suns off the bottom of the western conference. Overall happy with the selections.

Even if Nash 'shouldn't' be there, it shouldn't be another PG instead. There is already 3 not including Nash.

The only way I can see that Nash shouldn't be there is if you were trying to make a pure excitement team, in which case Parker shouldn't either!

I think Rudy Gay should have had a chance!

Hey I like Monta Ellis ... but replace M.V.Steve !? 2nd best point guard In basketball history !? ... Come on now Graeme. Get with It young man ! :kick:

And Rondo should of made It ! ... that's all I got.

I don't think Deng, Hibbert, M.Gasol or Dirk should be there. So many good players and plays so far this crazy season you can make a case for starters and reserves that should and shouldn't be there. Fine line

Gay and Monta unlucky! But it's always going to happen! There's only 20 spots all up and some GOOD players will miss out every year!

Got to Agree there

Good to see Iggy....cant believe Dirk...17,6,2...hardly all-star numbers. Cousins and Millsap have had much better years.

not so sure about dirk... probs reputation there i would have thought or the league saying 'man we HAVE TO have a player from the nba champions in the all star game'... hmmmmm - paul millsap would have been my pick here instead of dirk, averaging 10rpg @ 6'8"
gasol - gr8 to see him here... worked his tail off
the rest of the west are no brainers i reckon

anyhow, hibbert - nice continued improvement from last yr and his team is playing great ball... always helps
iggy - interesting and debatable choice... only a line of 13, 6, 5 but team playing killer ball and much improved
bosh - solid season but nothing out of the box
joe j - consistent but boring, yawn - teammate josh smith should have been here imo
pierce - in there for his consistency, does it night in night out
deron - numbers generally down, but who else goes ahead of him??
deng - rewarded for his yrs of consistency... a real glue guy for the bulls

Dirk is having one of his worst season of his career, how the hell did he make it!!! Like Branko said, Millsap should be there, or Gallo, but his hurt now. I still can' believe Nash got in over Monta....

And Andy Varejoe should be in over Hibbert

Maybe Millsap but Gallinari? Where did that come from, I honestly don't see him doing any better than Dirk at the moment. And I don't see why Varejao should be in over Hibbert either? Please enlighten me.

As much as i like Monta, Steve Nash deserves to be In the Team more than Monta!

I reckon all the selections are pretty good, But i'm not so sure about Hibbert?!

Just disappointed Rubio wasn't there:(!
