So I just bought this game, and am trying to play a season with a fantasy draft. All good there. However when I load the game I get a message that "There is not enough available space in NBA 2k11 save file to save new data. Any existing NBA 2k11 data can be loaded and overwritten. Create free space by deleing previously saved NBA 2k11 save data from the Save/Load screen within the game".

Then it shows me how much space it needs for each thing. Joy. I have 1400 available blocks in my Wii, but for some reason this game can't fit more than 30-something?

If I try to play from here, the game with work for a bit, then freeze, making a loud noise. I can't turn it off from the remote like any other time/game would.

I exchanged the disc and the same thing is happening.

HOWEVER, when I go into my saved stuff and delete the rosters, it then doesn't freeze, but after the game will save the rosters again, causing it to screw up the next time. I don't want to have to delete a f'ing file every single time I want to play this game - does anyone have any advice or help for me?

sounds like 2ksports did a **** Wii edition and didnt get rid of Bugs.

Or your Wiiis buggered.

EDIT: looks like all versions have th same issue.

PS3/360 get around it by allowing the FULL 6gb game to be installed onto hdd. Not sure about the Wii version.

I have a mate who plays 2K11 on Wii all the time and never heard of it happening with him

I just read a forum thread and it may be something to do with saving it in-game. Of course the reason I did that was incase it froze... So when playing 12 minute quarters do I take the risk and just play it out...

there was a glitch in the PC version which crashed your game if you load up a save that you made during a timeout. once i started saving at the end of quarters only, my crashes pretty much stopped.
unfortunatley theres loads of problems with the 2K series on all platforms. the internet has made developers lazy and they release games they know have bugs because they can just make a patch...

Yeah I bought it on PC recently and it crashes when I look at minutes played and try to go back.

I also had to download a crack for the bloody thing to load because without the patch I couldn't play online. So once I had patched the game it then kept telling me I had the wrong disc inserted, which also means I have to run a dvd drive emulator, what a load of BS. Needless to say I wasn't impressed.

I fkn give up on this crap. I have just tried FOUR TIMES to continue the game I saved and every single time it has frozen. How the fk can you play a game when it freezes every single time you try, and how can they have released something that fails so badly to work??

Bumping this old thread... I FOOLISHLY bought 2k12 and the SAME THING happens!! If you save a game in progress and try to resume it, the whole system crashes!
How can they have allowed this to continue?? Absolutely useless. NEVER BUY A 2K GAME AGAIN!!!

This is the kind of thing I have come to expect out of Wii's... try it on a better console? My X360 version is perfect.

Nah, never buy a 2K game on Wii again. As far as I've heard, the other consoles and even PC have no such trouble...

Thanks for the helpful advice...

Apart from the fact that I don't have an xbox, don't have the money for an xbox, and have about 25 other games on wii...

Yeah except with 2K11 on the PC, I couldn't play online without an official update but when I updated the game it no longer recognized my disc so I then had to patch it with a NO-CD fix..way to encourage piracy 2K

That's exactly why NBA Live Is where It's at bro ! ... Even tho they havnt updated since the lockout ... and the rosters are 2009-10 (lebron & shaq on cavs, j-rich on phoenix) ... I manually update It If need be ... still the best NBA game I've ever played ... It's FUN. 2k11/12 Is like flying a god damn jet ... 15 controls to shoot the ball ... too complicated (but AMAZING graphics) ... I want an NBA game that just lets me do what I wanna do and have fun ... 26 wins In a row on xbox live !!! (like a year ago with my 09/10 Suns) ... beat the number 1 ranked guy out of like 10,000 !!! (he cheats, tried using the glitches to win) ... gotta BEAT the best to be the best ! ... Im a bad man ! ... Get you an Xbox and NBA Live ... and It's on Graeme !
