2011/12 Australian Summer Of Cricket (*SPOILERS*)

Great Innings from Michael Clarke, played well and Deserved his Triple Hundred!

Now i want him to keep going and Keep Breaking More Records!

Congrats to CLarkey - great captains knock, Hussey and Ponting have done good as well and it is nice to smash the cheats... I will eat some humble pie knowing that if Marcus North and co are safe for 12 tests after a big score regardless of all else, Punter and Hussey are now safe til they are 50.

It is almost embarrassing watching the Indians - Sea Hag has bowled 20+ overs, wtf? Id be investigating match fixing - the indians have quit

opps, i said 1 1/2, but if he gets 300 then declares then 2 1/2 days is heaps of time. hey dalbs, he just answered his critics and still people find something to have a go at him about, dont you think hes doing enough? no pleasing some people lol

Well batted Clarke has the record for the SCG and then some, I just don't want to see a draw. That would **** me.

it will be a long time he gets perfect conditions to crack 400.

flat pitch plus bad bowling plus inform.

He had some more time to get there I think.

Clarke's still a dud....

As much as I get along with you Jack and find you are normally pretty well informed/opinionated for a younger bloke, this sort of remark really brings through your age.......

Why so bitter...?

Clarke will become one of the greats batting wise, and realistically he has taken over the national side at the crossroads, could go either way for him..... Flat track, poor bowling or whatever other excuse people can find for Clarke getting 300+ are just jealous bitter negative people that really can't enjoy the innings for what it is... FKING GREAT!!! The concentration and fitness side of things along is more then ANYONE on here could ever do.....

Okay? That's a new one.

no it isn't.

look at how the media treat it lol. One player is the reason a team wins/looses.

well in this case it will be pretty much one player.

well it isn't that. I am dissapointed he didnt try to crack 400. As I said you need some favourable conditions which do not come along that often to get these milestones ontop of the batting skills you already have when you are inform. Most big scores had favourable conditions.

Okay I've gotten some grief for being negative and not embracing a "box of chocolates" mentality in regard to an elite national team, however I am so freakin happy for Clarkey, I stuck up for him when he got the captaincy when mates of mine were knocking him and even though I do not agree with the Katich decision, with everything else I feel he is the right person to lead us forward and today was an awesome effort by hopefully a long standing captain.

I like it, Clarke chose the team over personal glory.

really, the Aussies now have just over 2 days to bowl them out to win this test, it took them less than a day last time. didnt hear anyone complaining when Tubby Taylor got 334no but the test was a draw, interesting. if this is Clarke putting personal glory before the team then what kind of batsman was Brian Lara??? i think Clarke has so far done an outstanding job as captain. he took over at the end of an era, thats never easy to do.

Well yeah if it was personal glory Clarke wanted he wouldn't have declared would he?

He shouldn't have declared so sonn, should have left it until about half hour left for them to bat...... Could have got his 400 by then! and still had 2 days to bowl them out!!!

Patto was not happy with Haddin in the penultimate over. LOL. Pretty poor drop. At 3fer...India on the ropes.

I am so proud to have been there for Clarkey's 329. You don't see that often. Esp at the SCG. 277 by Lara was the best before I had seen and that was almost 20 years ago (OHMIGOD!!!!!!! where did the time go?!?). Filmed the moment, the roar was amazing and if you love Test cricket, couldn't get better than that milestone.

It is predictable that whenever a wicket-keeper drops a catch it is always rated as a calamity but when Punter dropped Sehwag on day 1 there was hardly a murmer.

Keepers always seem to get the rough end of the stick, Heals is probably best remembered by critics for dropping Brian Lara near the end of his 153* in a one-wicket loss in 1999 and also his missed stumping of Inzamam Ul-Haq in another one-wicket loss in 1994 - yet his work to Shane Warne is already part of Australian cricket folklore.

I like Brad Haddin as a cricketer, he is an unselfish sort of bloke. Really felt for him when he dropped the catch this arvo, but have a feeling he will have a lot of opportunities to atone tomorrow.
