The Official MIAMI HEAT Thread!

umm...i forget is this a spoiler safe zone?! theres no warning on the title but i would assume you expect to see spoilers if you look in here... i might hide just in case

[hide] Miami good start to the season taking down the defending champs! and they looked good! i was impressed with the energy rookie Norris Cole brought to the team, i will be watching him [/hide]

So the zone defense is really the weakness! Teams like Atlanta and Boston played the zone very well and apparently its what Dallas used to beat us last finals. I hope this problem gets solved sooner than later.

Just had a quick look at the Heat/ATL game and wouldn't you be pissed if you were a heat fan going to that game, Bosh being the only starter playing today

If we come out winning this game, I'm more than happy with it. Cant watch it at work anyway. LOL!

If that had been anyone but haslem standing there.... Can't blame lebron for getting it to the open man, although we know most people will. So quick to kick him while his Down.

He should NOT have passed that, he had position and ability over the player guarding him, he should have taken it to the rim, simple! great players finish games off when they are needed the most, not pass the ball so they can pass blame!

I agree, haslem was open and he pulled the defenders. Some you make some you dont.

Notice that CP3 Took the last shot for the clippers tonight and was blocked by Grant Hill. No one even mentioned if it was the right decision.

But he has not passed blame. It was like the all star game all over again and he knows that. If lebron took the shot and missed its oh lebron can't finish, so he can't win. I think finding the open man was best for the team and I will stand behind lebron and his game time discions.

Who else would you have had take that shot...? CP3 vs Grant hill compared to Lebron vs Josh Howard or anyone else that would be guarding him for that fact isn't even comparable.....

Lebron is a supreme athlete with ridiculous skill...Everything was going his way for that shot/drive and he passed it to a guy that had only shot the balls 4 times for the night... He knew who he was giving it up to, stuff the all star game, it means nothing, he, and he alone should have taken that shot, Wade was the only other player that should have seen the ball if he was where Haslem was. Lebron needs to take charge, he needs to drain those chances and he needs to do it on a regular basis. Kobe has/does, Jordan did and Durant does! There is no reason for Lebron not to take it, he needs to man up and take it when its there for him. He had position on the defender, he had size on the defender and he always had athleticism on the defender... if he wants to be the man/player he and so many people think he is, he needs to take the responsibility on.... Or it's bye bye come Playoffs/finals again for the Heat.

We will see about the playoffs. This game shouldn't have gotten so out of hand. Lebron produced a 4th Q remarkable comeback to give the team a shot. Last play he drew three defenders and passed to an open player. I don't see anything wrong with it, it's a team game.
Don't change how you feel, I would never want that. Just stating how I feel.

Thats the point! haha he had such a hot quarter! 3 defenders? At best it was 2 and he had them both beat before he passed it! Oh well, still don't believe the guy can't even remotely be described as clutch and never will see him that way!

Nothing wrong with passing to the open guy if he thought he wasn't going to be able to get a better shot up.... he's not Kobe "shoot it over 3 guys" Bryant, he actually looks for the best play for the team, not himself.

Yep i agree, its what makes him a better player then Kobe imo. He can see things on the court like a PG and have you seen his stats the past month. Im pretty sure he hasn't had one turn over the past 3 games! But saying all that he also could have made that shot and won the game quite easily. He was stupid hot in the 4th and from what i was witnessing (lol) he could have just jumped over the 2 guys guarding him for the power dunk to win the game haha (he was hitting everything he wanted so it wouldn't have surprised me).
Im not sure if its his unselfishness or a genuine fear of stuffing up on the last play that puts him in these situations.
