2011/12 Australian Summer Of Cricket (*SPOILERS*)

That wasn't a Good Decision at all:mad:, 2 Wickets 2 Balls hopefully not a Middle-Order Collapse.

Ed Cowan Out for 68 but played wonderful knock to stay there all day.

India appeal for things U7s wouldn't dare shout for.

Both Cowan and Hussey were not out.

Plus India are lacklustre (read : LAZY) in the field.

I hope Siddle gets a ton!

EJM Cowan c †Dhoni b Ashwin 68 from 177 (7x4's)
DA Warner c †Dhoni b Yadav 37 from 49 (4x4's) (1x6's)
SE Marsh c Kohli b Yadav 0 from 6
RT Ponting c Laxman b Yadav 62 from 94 (6x4's)
MJ Clarke* b Khan 31 from 68 (5x4's)
MEK Hussey c †Dhoni b Khan 0 from 1
BJ Haddin† not out 21 from 60
PM Siddle not out 34 from 80 (4x4's)

Extras: 24 (lb 21, w 2, nb 1)

Total (89 overs) 6/277 (3.11 runs per over)

Albeit that I am a NSWman, Siddle is my fave Australian player. More runs than Clarke, Marsh, Hussey and almost Warner. Ponting and Cowan in his sights. Peter Siddle the LIONHEART. And he'll be expected to bowl his guts out, have catches dropped and have the media all over his back saying some other raw, young quick should replace him.

Apparently also an incredibly slow over rate, even though the spinners have been on.

They put the BUPA Gatorade tracker on them and there was no pulse except when they appealed for air-swings...and bloody got them!!! Good grief.

Site rules, common sense and the threat of legal action prevents me from declaring exactly what I think of the BCCI refusal to use the Decsion Review system - and moreso the reasons why they are allowed to continue to ride roughshod over the sport in general.

Needless to say, every additional Brad Haddin run will hopefully help to grind the Indian team into the dirt, given that he'd have been given out LBW upon review.

It is simply not right that the cricket board of an international team can pick and choose which rules they play by, and I genuinely hope it bites them on the arse this series.

I don,t know the ins & out of the political side of cricket, but at the end of the day India has the control due to the subcontinent team's been on their side, they are looking after themselves and their interest which they are entitled to do, the big money comes from there, so all power to them, it doesn't mean its right or wrong, depends what side of the fence your on....

heard on the radio earlier that Cowan's innings is the highest debut for an opener since Wayne Phillips 159 in 83-84
and what about clarke's 151 on debut in india, must be some poor commentators

sorry my bad, clarke not an opener, read the damn question sharkies. should have been a century for cowan, but no drs means no drs, damn bcci

Ok I know that they are different - BUT

to me it's like a team saying they will not play with LBW, it should be a rule accepted by all playing nations, they cannot pick and choose the rules they play by.

i just hope a dodgy decision ends a tendulkar innings on 99, that should get the ball rolling;)

Well India's argument would be, you can't just create new rules when ever you want... When all country's agree to the new rule then thats when when you implement it, not before hand becasue YOU want to,
smells of arrogance by the Aussie's this is how they are perceived....

and our argument would be the right result is the best result, cant see how that attitude reeks of arrogance, some people call it progress.....
