/\/\ even if he doesnt know the rule, he still needs to be held accountable if he breaks it. and wether he said it jokingly, friendly like or with spite, the rule is clear: you cannot refer to someone by their race or nationality.
not saying hes a racist. its pretty obvious, i think, that he isnt, but the rule is there not only to stop blatant racism, but also to curb incidents like this one, that could be construed as or escalate into racism.
main point being, how did suarez know that evra was even aware that negrito is a common term of endearement in s.america?

The cultural misunderstanding thing is a cop out. There are very well organised football campaigns against racism in England - the names escape me but there are plenty of them. He's getting his just deserts. Liverpool defending him is scandalous. If Suarez didn't know that a term such as negrito would be offensive then perhaps that's Liverpool's fault. Either way they should eat the punishment and shut up cos they're currently an embarrassment. Dalgliesh has pretty much been an embarrassment all season with his constant criticism of referees, but this takes the cake.

yep. was thinking the exact same thing when i checked soccernet.com only to see him at it again, this time complaing that none of bellamy's 4 YC were warranted.
he should get in trouble for that...

Please Tell me that's Not True :(

I thought Suarez was Suspended, but his Playing for Liverpool right now.
the bale story is obviously a joke...
and suarez wont be suspended until his appeal is over with (after new year). or if he decides not to appeal (unlikely).

berba up to his old tricks. hat-tricks. fergie must feel pretty doss for benching him all season...

0-0 draw for City - stuffed up recording it - sounds like it woulda been 90 minutes of pulling hair out! All even on points now and it's gonna be a real fight for the title!

The Berbatov Show. So casual. Fergie, don't let him go!

Loving the commentary when Rooney came on.. "And when Wigan thought things couldn't get any worse, on comes Wayne Rooney"

Good results for me last night, United win and draws to Chelski, City and Liverpool :D

got another Joe Hart 100 Club ahaha

only funny for a united supporter because he has a point. the most congested time of year out of any league in the world, and united are getting 2x as long in between their games. dodgy...

look at the comments below the article.. from liverpool & arsenal supporters who think United have it fine. If United had their own way i'm sure they wouldn't have City away in Gameweek 36, Sunderland away on final gameday and the grouping of top teams that they had before christmas and coming from the 21st Jan to 3rd March where they have Arsenal (away), Stoke (home), Chelsea (away), Liverpool (home), Norwich (away) then Tottenham (away)!!

The fixtures are jammed because we have some big EPL home games - mixed with the CC semi's with Liverpool and the FA Cup with Utd...
What is amazing is the teams we have drawn in the comps we're still in... Man U in the FA Cup, Out of the 3 left in the CC we manage to get Liverpool and not Cardiff and Crystal Palace! We get the toughest UCL pool, and then when we go out in that we get the holders Porto in the Europa league! Now that's pretty flukey.....I ain't no conspiracy theorist but....

Having said that we got a plumb FA cup draw last year until the Semi.

Manchester United 2011-2012 Home - statto.com

Can't remember if I have linked this before but it shows who each team have played and who they have left.....very useful website...

its not really about when you have to play these teams because in the end, you have to play them, and even if you have a tough run of fixtures during the rest of the season, at least you get a week in between. its the fact that city are getting 2 days rest and united are getting 4 in an already jam packed time of year. that should just not happen. especially with two top teams. you dont think its advantagous to have those extra 2 days?
im sure united (or city) would rather play city (or united) in week 36, opposed to during the holidays when theyd only have a couple of days in between matches.
and we all know the only reason its worked out like that is for TV coverage, so if thats the excuse, its not a fair way to run a league.
its not a united hating thing. if it was vice versa id think the same...

I cant believe this is even worth discussing. welcome to being sucessful City. Get over it. Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all dealt with this before.

actually, if you have a look through previous years fixtures, united have always had at least the same amount OR more time than theyre main rivals (arsenal or chelsea depending on year) over the x-mas period, apart from once in 2007-08 when chelsea got an extra day.
hes not complaining that the fixture list is too packed, hes complaining that its unevenly distributed.
i cant believe this isnt worth discussing?! TV coverage has tainted the fairness of the league.

TV money is whay made this league. If your going to be alive in three cup comps and the league then its just a fact of life. Stop making everything about Man U. City only have to play sunderland. Mancini wont care - they just want silverware.

im not making this about united, theyre just one of the teams thats involved. i already said, if it was a different team that had the extra days, id still think it wasnt right. the fact that its united that have had the additional time almost every season is a different topic altogether.
and im not saying that top teams shouldnt be used to playing alot of games. of course they should. its why you cant be a top club without depth. but they arent playing their games under the same circumstances.
you really dont think that having 2 extra days at a time of year when you play 4 matches over the space of 10 days is beneficial?
im not even saying they should change it. just that mancini has a point...
