Big Bash League 2011/12 (SPOILERS)

This format of the game is a joke.... There is zero thinking when it comes to batting and bowling!!!!.... The worst team in the league can beat the best team in the league if they have a good 2 or 3 overs???? Pretty sad if you ask me as i played high level cricket as a kid and there was alot more to do than just bash the ball around for a few overs....

Do you Hate T20?

I seem to be the only Hurricanes fan on here. id love them to win as it looks like most have predicted them to finish last. small state with a big heart and a heap of awesome cricketers. Go Hurricanes!
and go punter, wish people would give him a break, people forget way too quickly, he took australia to 2 world cup wins in a row and has a test winning recond to his name as well. let the man retire when he wants to , he is royalty!

Renegades were dissapointing but Strikers were fantastic. Looks like they will be hard to beat. Hopefully Hobart do do better than expected, good on them!

Stars with a close win over the Heat. I've jumped ship. Didn't like what I saw from the Renegades so i'm going for the Stars! Warney FTW!

Just got back from the Thunder match, having seen the mighty Chris Gayle blow in to town.

The crowd loved every minute of it and so many non-cricket people there with their cricket mates and getting in to it.

As long as it remains club/provincial based, I don't mind slap and tickle 20-20. Internationals are fun, but seriously, the 'seriousness' of it has crept in now. Should just be a fun knock about.

One thing though, why does Marsh get to play for Perth and then go to Melbourne but Dave Warner cannot? Seriously, they hyped the Thunder around Warner and now he ain't playing. Hughes is AWOL and other than Bollinger and Khawaja, not much in the cupboard in the way of class.

Marsh was a fitness test and Warner is a precaution we can't lose another opener.

Just as I give Muirhead a rap he bowl's 7 full tosses from 2 overs  He did get 2 wickets though and when he landed the leggie it spun!

Hobart cant handle the Heat

anyone else wahting this game? im sure i heard either Haydos or Tom Triffett drop the F bomb and it came through Haydos' mic clear as anything. during the 13th over. funny stuff

fantastic match last night, apart from my team the Hurricanes losing lol. 201 from the Heat was only just enough. great chase that ended with the last ball of the night. with 3 balls left and Hobart in control they only needed another 4 runs to win. a mix up run out followed by a dot ball finished with a 4 needed from the last ball. Shah had batted really well to that point but just couldnt finish the job, ended up being caught on the rope going for the big hit to win. great match
a real batters game with great matches by trav birt (74runs from 36balls), owais shah played another great innings (69runs from 44balls) and haydos was back to unstoppable haydos, smacking a fantastic 76 from 51 balls.

Getting a bit ****ing ticked off with CA and/or Sydney Thunder.

First of all, no Warner. Again!!! FFS!!! Could it hurt for him to have a hit and giggle?

Secondly, they sign Trent Copeland and he can't play tonight because he played grade yesterday.

Thirdly, Mitchell Starc is drafted in to the Test side...is in and out and in and out and in to the Sydney Sixers side....and look what he does!!!

FMD - my son - who is 2 1/2 bowls more than these players do. It's getting out of hand. Soon, I'll only be allowed to give him a half dozen throw downs so I don't do my shoulder in!

ARGH!!!!

Still...Lee and Starc all class. And with 30,000+ at the game tonight - even though it rained - they loved it. Woulda loved it more seeing D Warner going off his nana though!!!

It's not just could it hurt, it's imagine if he does get hurt playing the hit and giggle format? We'd be down an opener in the test side all because people wanted him to play in the BBL.
