Software to make a signature pic

Ok, a quick question for all you image manipulators out there, I was to make a signature pic from 4-5 jpg's that are scans of sketch cards that I like, any advice on software etc to do this?

PS - similar in size to the one I have in my current sig on OCT, but from some sketch card scans.

Thanks Andrew for that info, I have photoshop but I never learnt how to use it............paid all that money and I still can't drive it...........lol

Two tools you need for photoshop. The rubber tool (with blurred edges) and the move tool

Oh and text tool if you want to write something. Good luck

A lot of really good tutorials on how to make forum signatures using adobe photoshop on youtube. That's how I learnt.
