hi guys

i am really concidering setting up a website a little similar to checkout mycards where
you can list your card for sale and have no time or bidding just list your price.
The prices would be much cheaper than ebay and would concider doing a bidding kind of thing however would have to look more into that. just wanted to know what you think about this, whether it is a good idea or what ideas you have to help?

thanks guys

More card trading sites are always welcome in my books.
Just gotta look into running costs and upkeep and maintenance etc.

For sure mate..... although I think you need a good business plan if you really want to make it successful, not just do it by the cheap, chuck it up & then hope it turns into something.

So.... if you're really serious about doing it & willing to invest some coin to get it popular, then yes. If not, then no..... as you'll likely just end up with a few people listing cards there & it won't go much further.

Just MO. :)

thanks for your thoughts guys

I don't know how successful it could be. Limited to just cards could be a problem.
Depends if you are in it to make money or not, there was Oztion - which changed their name to quicksales now and everything listed there was cheap and nasty base cards and basic stuff that was overpriced. It was free to list there previously though but I haven't used it since they changed the site name.

quicksales - Online auction & shopping site. Buy & sell clothing, jewellery, computers, crafts, DVDs and more at low prices.

I have honestly put thought into this in the past too, mainly because I'd love to send a heap of cards to check out my cards, but the time u add on international shipping of bulk lots onto there fees it hardly seems worth while. The main thing that sent me off track was there sight been more complex then it seems, with the Beckett prices auto listed and auto updated and I don't know how to go about doing that for afl nrl items
