at $3 i am allready losing money because of ebay screw up - it even states in auction global priority which would cost you alot more.
I told him i wont pay the large postage cost on a card worth $15-$20 and its not even in the auction. Now he's is saying to just cancel the transaction and he will refund me the money.
Its nothing major as i can get my money back but id rather the card, from my point of view i pretty much have him by the balls as in i either get the card or get a refund. He however can either just do the right thing and send me the card or i can open a dispute, get my money and neg him.
Yup, COMC mailbox solves the problem... even though it will cost you a bit more. I think the seller just did not take into account the risk involved sending overseas and under-quoted the postage. He should suck it up and just complete the deal anyway because he made the mistake.
If you really want the card and don't want to burn the guy - (you never know you might want something from him down the track), why not offer him another $4 - $7 total should be enough for standard airmail.
Maybe he's doing a bit of a bait trick with the $3 postage, or he genuinely doesn't know what it costs these days, either way if you really want the card it might be worth offering a few bucks more?
