Well i've been seriously collecting for a year now.. how time flies. Was never really into cards, had a few put away in boxes from the early to mid 90's which i found and gave to a mate as I knew he was into older cards, he then proceeded to pull out boxes and boxes of NBA and AFL it was about then that I got hooked.
I stared out collecting full sets of base from sets such as 96 Udsp and the 91-92 Ud set. Then i saw the boxes that pulled me kicking and screaming into the modern Era
It was after busting some boxes from this set that I decided to collect Ray as a PC player. You may have noticed the bird/allen passing the torch auto card in my recent mailday & in the battle Royale thread. That card was the first card i ever wanted and to finally have it after a year is just an awesome experience.
I can remember first starting out and being floored when I got my first auto and gu/gu prime cards and now with things like 14k cards of my pc player entering the market I am getting more and more sucked into the hobby as time goes on. Like everyone I aspire that one day my collection will be the best it can possibly be (and in saying that better than any other Ray Allen collection)! And that will mean spending thousands more than I already have but hey I'm ok with that it's better that than alcohol or something of the sort.
That leads me firstly to OCT. Man am I glad that this place popped up on my Radar the people that I have met on here that have done deals with me for Ray cards and that I chat with on facebook and twitter have really bought this hobby to life for me. The amount of people that Pm me to give me the heads up on E-bay cards and to check if i have a ray card before they E-bay it or thread it or put it aside when pulled before contacting me blows my mind and warms my icy icy heart
. Arthy, Kiwi, Gf4l , Matt26, Kenny Jaames, Brentus, Loafic, Ratsdm, Rishgoon, Kouzza, Christuffa, Stashman, hairy, Slobby, Airee, Tezza(a1 cards), St4rdust, Akihiro from japan.. the list goes on. So far only one person seems to have done the dodgy on me and hopefully they read this and get a rather strong hint about what will happen soonish if it's not rectified 
Then there are the people i have met and chat to through the hobby that are surprisingly approachable and awesome guys Tracy Hackler and Chris Olds (follow them on twitter).
But now i'm just rambling so thanks everyone for an awesome year and I look forward to many more as we go down the cardboard highway!
