This is a classic trade. And I want all yr aopinions on it

I lost this auction this afternoon and as some of u know I collect KG jersey numbered cards. This ones obviously #21/25 and has a beautiful patch

I was gutted - outbid by a dude with piles of the green...
Anyway i contact him - congrat him on winning and explain that I collect #21 cards and would he trade for my film/patch KG card #7/10! Basically exactly the same but 7/10 Also a 4 colour patch.

He says no but wouldn't mind trading it plus cash for other rare KG number pieces or 1/1 cards .
I have a KG pristine plate from this yr - I paid $66 for it.....

Here's the biggie - would u trade a 1/1 plate for a rare jersey numbered patch card?? I wanna know what y'all think.

I love that card and would value it above my 1/1 so I've offered the 1/1 plate for his 21/25 plus some $$ of his for me

So My answer is YES BUT would u guys if it was who u were collecting??

I think it's a classic jersey numbered debate - how high do U value them....

ALso shows that there are some genuine great guys out there - he saw how much the card meant to me and made me an offer - they're not all pricks.

In my opinion, your trading on his favour big time, but sometimes, that's what you've got to do to get that special card.

However, you do collect jersey numbered card of KG, so I guess that #21/25 is more valuable and holds more meaning to you, so I think this is going to be up to how you feel about it.

I reckon it should be a straight up trade. Yours is rarer. He just knows you want the card badly so he's trying to get the most out of you.

If I had that, I'll ask you for a LeBron auto.

I've asked for the 21/25 and $25-30 for the KG 1/1
Considering he paid $52 for the 21/25 and I paid $66 for the 1/1 - I'm happy with it (he hasn't replied yet by the way)

KG Pplates as u said Shoes r quite common - I've seen them go for $40

And I would be keeping the 7/10 - so would make a sweet pair!!!

Oh OK my bad! Yeh I'll go for it as well since you collect #21s. Me being a player collector too, I'd rather the 1/1 though since they retain value and are true 1/1s. But it's a good trade no matter how you put it.

Trade that 1/1 Printing Plate away. I would do that for the 4 colour patch and Jersey numbered card. Plus, the jersey numbered card holds a premium and there are many literally hundreds of Printing plates.

AJ - save yr pennies - as I said KG printing plates go for as low as $40 - I even saw an 04-05 KG one go for about $28 the other day!! (don't buy one before u get my Kg uncirculated though!!)

Thing is with a 1/1 - they vary so much in price. I paid $200 for a flair masterpiece LJ in '01 now u can get so many of them if u have the $$. He doesn't know what I paid for my printing plate...

I guess it depends whats going to mean more to you in your collection. If your going to value it higher personally then do it. I have quite a few jersey numbered cards of Toine but I don't go out of my way to get them.

I know if a 97/98 Z-Force SUper Rave /50 of Walker came up I'd definitely trade one of my plates for it as I want to finish of his first few years cards.

And since that what you do, collect #21/XXX then you gotta be happy.

Then you can put another $40 back towards the deal, and get a 1/1 again?
