Hi guys,
Just googles the above and searched on ebay. It seems a company, possibly Topps, put lots of old unsold packs and even some real gems from secondary market into newly packed boxes.

Ive seen baseball only boxes, with the chase ppack/card being 1952 Topps Mantle RC.

Ive also seen, though not as common, a mixed sports version. Can get mantle or MJ RC or rare fleer pack.

Obviously most packs are from the over abundant 90s and probably not worth much.

First question, Has anyone on here tried the product and are they good value?
Second, most sellers seem US and only found 1 that ship to OZ.

Thought these boxes might be a bit too "gimmicky" for collectors on here. The various boxes are made by "Tristar" and can be baseball only, entertainment or multi sport. I guess no serious collector would buy them because you dont know what sport/brand/year you will be getting.

Probably more aimed at 'dreamers' wanting MJ RC or Mantle or Spiderman #1 comic. All high end stuff. But probably 1 in a million.

I decide i will get a box for fun. Will work out at about $1.50 per pack delivered. 16packs a box. So even if i get some early 90s hoops or skybox the packets are worth it...just.

Did some research and even the 2008 boxes have valid redemption cards til June/2011.

Does appear some of the packs being old are water damaged or creased. But that can happen with wax pack of that age when bought from secondary market. Even some of the Fleer buybacks are in poor condition in new UD products.

I'll be interested to see how it goes Nathan; I'd be keen to have a go but I've no use for baseball cards.

Just be careful for 'searched' product.

Yeah, im into NBA myself, thats why im going the multi sport box. But wouldnt say no to a decent vintage baseball card. If its worth money then can always trade out of it. The box I will buy is 'factory sealed' so hopefully fresh and not searched. But you never can tell until its too late.

I guess an advantage would be knowing which packs have already been pulled. One of the listings mentions the 52 Topps high series redemption card is still to be pulled. But cant confirm that. Would improve the odds a bit.

I will let you know what packs I get, the overall condition of cards, and if it was fun/value.

Cheers
