I juts wrote in a PM about how Fridays should be for playing Xbox (lol), and got me thinking, for those who work, what "perks" of "fun stuff" can you do whilst at work.
I've barely got anything, probably internet and that's it, but I've seen places where they have a lounge and large plasma on the wall for when the Cricket (or women's tennis) is on.
I've also seen Xboxes and Basketball rings set up at work places.
Sadly I don't have any of those luxuries, but I guess I COULD bring in an Xbox and set it up on the projector
So does anyone have any cool stuff at work that they can do, you know, other than work???
Surely most have seen what Google HQ has set up...?? Google it if not, you'll be amazed!!!
We have a huge flat screen on the wall in out office with Foxtel attached. However i get screamed at by the admin staff everytime i try to stick on fox sports.
Its funny cause the boss will come out and say "why dont you put the tv on?"
I run my own business,
We have everything, but mostly I dont touch it. Bit of Xbox maybe.
Best bit is when the posty arrives I see him coming from up the hill. My eyes are alert to any yellow envelopes. I quickly scan them, cheque, cheque, crap, cheque, CARDS woohoo, drop everything else and run.
I find the kids chewing on the cheques later on.
Oh, for the record, we are a home based day care.

One thing i've taken for granted but now realise is a perk is the Toastie maker we have. These cold days are made that little bit more tolerable with a nice hot toastie at lunch
I'm a traveling sales rep so the main perks I get are flexible work hours, so I get to take my son on some cool day trips. Plus I manage the accounts for 7 of the top 10 golf courses in NSW so I get to play plenty of golf for "work".
