yeah I play social comp with one guy, in the hornsby youth team, his name is Luke. He's a benchy, just playing for fun/exercise...he was a few years younger then me at school and Im mate's with his cousin. I needed a player for one of my teams and I knew he'd be a good fit.

One thing I spent most of my rep career was drinking and gambling and hanging out with the girls teams so if you arent into those things, maybe just play jnr reps mate.

But the ABA team had several strong christian types when I was around too.

Just finished my monday night game we had a win by 8 points .........

I had 14 pts 8 or 9 boards a few dimes and 1 block.
Was a pretty good game

I must admit I enjoyed the game where you fouled out Hey guys I bought a cheap ball last night from sports rebel... might be making a wee little comeback soon Damn this board got me back into cards and now basketball haha Hey jimbo.. clubs in tas is spread over about 15 clubs too... most clubs struggle to get numbers, some clubs have enough for two teams and some clubs cut players. Then we have zone rep as well. South/North/ North West... then state. There are plenty of leagues etc but rep club is just the 15. Keep the stats coming fellas... why aren't the other members posting here? C'mon I have had 0 pts games myself who cares

Played in our 2nd comp last Sunday. We lost out, se we're out of the finals. Still in the running for our GF next Wednesday (not tomorra).

It was a very heated game. Most of our guys lost their heads in concentrating on the refs making bad calls, than trying to get their head in playing better ball.

Looking forward to our Grand Final tho! I gotta help ref this week's game so will know who we have (this is in the bruiser league).

Just got back from my club game, had a fairly good night by my standards... Got 21 points on 7/9 3-point shooting, no free-throws or shots inside the arc. And collected 12 boards and 6 assists to round off things, before leaving the game midway through the third after being taken out fairly hard. I'd stuffed the guy I was guarding 3 times already, and was going for a fourth when he spun with elbows extended and got me a good hard jab in the lower back just above the hip. And somehow I got called for a foul on the play... Still can't straighten up after the game finished almost 3 hours ago, so I dare say he'll cop a good hard screen next time we play...

Youch, great game though, 7/9 triple's and 12 boards? Are you Rasheed Wallace??

I played yesterday against Hills Hornets, #1 team in our divison. We got destroyed but I didn't see the final score as I was in first aid getting a sling on my arm. I went up to reject a guy who was going for a layup, but he faked and never left his feet, I rose above him and half crashed onto him coming down. My elbow cracked first into the hardwood and my knees followed as I tried to land. I didn't move for a few minutes and then they took me to first aid as they thought it was a broken arm. Fortunately the x-rays showed no fractures.

Bummer about the elbow, Jim... Yeah, I usually don't shoot that much on this team, as I'm usually about the third or fourth option at any time. But one of our main guys got his nose broken in the first by an errant elbow, and another got sandwiched between 2 defenders and landed pretty badly, so he left the game too. After that, they played me on a lot of pick and rolls, explaining my high shooting night. And the boards weren't too hard to get on the defensive end, as I was the only one on my team going for them... Most of the other guys were just boxing out (as much as skinny filipinos reasonably can), or concentrating on not getting injured. There's only three games left, and the team we played is 2 wins in front of us for the fourth playoff spot, so obviously they didn't mind playing physical trying to win. But we ended up winning 53 to 47, so should make the last few games interesting. Also, after talking to the comp organiser, I found out we're playing the same team next week again. So I get a bit of pay-back earlier than I thought...

Played our monday night game went down by 8 #-o I got fouled out yet again with 12 mins left in the game. Had 9pts 4 or 5 boards and no assists played pretty terribly. Next week im on a hatrick of getting fouled out. Go me

yup played at Hills, you wouldn't have wanted to watched it, we got destroyed! When I left the game it was like 67-37 or something. Our team really isn't that good, we're 1-12 for the season but I suppose it's not tragic when 7/10 of our players are bottom age. We only have 2 guys who are over 6'0 and our big men lineup has no depth, it's very shallow the big guys have physical skills but no basketball skills.

Overall we just don't play as a team that well and I can't really justify the losing because I'm a backup guard who most of the time doesn't get an over amount of time. I get 12-15 minutes if I'm lucky but I'm one of our better shooting/scoring options. I've got an alrite jumpshot and I'm a slasher, but unfortunately this is my first reps season and my coach benchs me for two other guys who've played in 12's and 14's.

1-12, how pathetic, however we should actually be 5-8 at least. We couldn't have come close to winning the comp but we should've won at least 5 by now, we play each team twice or more and two of the team we're clearly better than.

Just wondering....who keeps all yr boys stats while your playing? I mean the league I play in they keep your points but rebounds and dimes???

Anyway - for what it's worth I play in a monday night so called 'social' league - last night I had a mate count my stats, and I had 22 pts and 21 rodmans! I had 16 and 9 and 1 assist at the half so was going for the TD with a whole pile of passes in the 2nd half - ended up with 4!
I stunk it up the week before with 4 pts so had the bit between my teeth last night. Had a 10 pt win. We're 8-3 in the league and in 3rd

21 boards? NIIIICE!!! Yeah, well for myself, we got 3 player's g/f's that do the bench, so one does the official sheet, (pt's/fouls/ft's), while the other two look for assists and boards, 1 each. While it's also good to see your whole stats, it's also good for planning for next game and so any new players know where to look for the passes from and where we set up the strong rebounders, etc. And blocks everyone keeps track of, coz they're a universal favourite, aren't they? Nothing more satisfying in my eyes than making an opponent eat leather, and since dunks are no lnoger an option for me, blocks are the way to go...

Agreed, BLOCKS ROCK! I'm no big man, but I'm a big-time swatter on the fast break, 95% of the time I'll catch you if your goin for a layup and I'm within 5 meters and if I get there in time it's either a very hard foul or the ball is flying in a different direction!

Yep blocks are awesome! I'm only 5'8", but I manage to get 2-3 blocks per game. Most of mine come from the fact that when I'm in the air form a fake, I'm back up in the air once my feet touch the ground. This lets me get a lot of cheap blocks from behind when the dribbler thinks they have gotten around me! I have perfected this art too as I used to do it, but have my free arm rest on their body so I would get the foul, but now I get clean blocks all the time! Nothing more fun than a fast break block though, get at least 1 of these every 2 games! My spring is slowly coming back, so should be good to see how my hops are in a couple fo months time!

ahh had my revenge tonight hehehe...a few weeks back I got into a bit of an "alteracation" with a guy, I did it to fire my team mates up after we got beat pretty badly (by our standards) by some young dudes...

anyways we started off well, banging 3 threes....then I took over. The guy I had the biff with went one on one with me...and I owned him...scored 9 straight in a little run to get us ahead, then I hit another 9 straight to start the second half to build our lead.

We did a solid effort on D...I reakon I got more boards then Ive got all season, had about 4 strips in the paint too...one play I grabbed the ball with two hands and reefed it out...I love it.

I subbed myself out with 9 mins left...we were up 20. I had 21 and I would think close to double digit boards which is heaps for me. We ended up only winning by 7, after they started pressing and we got sloppy.

These kinda wins are real morale boosters, if we win next week it'll go along way for us to win this comp back-to-back-to-back!

Played last night, and had an alright game: 20 points, 8 boards and 7 assists. And to top it off, I drained the game-winning trey being down by 2, with 2 guys on me. \\/ Haven't hit a game-winner for a while in club, so it was a good feeling. And one of the guys trying to block me had already tossed a few of my drives, so I got a bit of pay-back there... And now we're off to the semi's next week.

Just got home from my game, we're 2nd playing 3rd, my best scoring output of the season but we lost by 6 in the end!

6/7 behind the arc, 3 in the first and 3 in the last 3 mins when we were down by 16. 20 points all up and ran my arse off for those last 3 mins, seeing stars and close to passing out, that is some indicatiopn of my fitness! Few steals and about 5 assists, but doesn't feel as good as my other games when it has been more well rounded...or the fact we lost?!?

Oh well we're still 2nd on the ladder thanks to the 1 point you get for a loss!

Time to get on that new bike of mine and peddle myself into fitness!

hahahhaha i did lots of plyo and fitness today, don't worry jvalles!! Got a new PB in the Beep Test, got a 12.5, was quite happy with that. I think I'm beginning to get a bit bigger, I can touch higher on the backboard then usual and I've put on 4 kilo's since the holidays. And trust me, if you knew what I looked like, it's not fat.
