These cards are way more.popular in Victoria than select. all my mates kids at school only buy teamcoach none of the select.
I tried to give my selects to my mates kids and they all said bin them ha ha.
I think the teamcoach are a better quality card overall
I generally try and collect the whole set, not that i have had much luck, looks like next year may be the start of just collecting StGeorge cards, if the NRL cards become anything like the NBA cards with auto's / subsets upon subsets etc and low numbered, then it isn't feasible will just stick to PC cards and work on my old sets to complete...
So basically, in every packet we get a silver 'code' card, which can be entered into the website and you can play games etc based on the actual round of football?
What purpose do the 'other' cards in the packet have? Are there 'rare' inserts etc?
I wont be getting anything i dont think maybe a base set for signing purposes assuming their somewhat visually pleasing if they look like those sketch things i wont touch them
I got back into AFL cards this year and got stuck into Select Champions. I went through about 35-40 packs but wasn't completely won over. I was especially put off by the peel-and-reveal stickers.
I initially wasn't a fan of Teamcoach's design, I found it cluttered. But being sick of Select I took a dip this past weekend.
They've won me over. I bought 5 packs on Saturday, and went back Sunday emptying the box for another 9 packs. The Magic Wildcard, as seen in the OP, are probably the weakest of the inserts, but the Star Wildcards more than make up for them.
The finish on these cards is brilliant, and best of all, ACTION SHOTS. None of Select's deep-etching the player and placing him over a weak background design.
