Why playing low placed teams before finals sucks...

Hi all im sure this will spark some debate but being a pies supporter watching the game today sucked that when you play a side with nothing to play for and a fight errupts its only going to damage one team.
I think that didak did not make that fumble by mistake, He knew if king got the ball he was going to get smashed (which prob wasnt the smartest thing from our boys) but none the less was funny as to see the little weasel get drilled into the turf by 4 blokes i just hope that we only end up with fines not suspensions 2 weeks out from finals that would not be good.
Also was worried about Swans elbows into King on the ground a brownlow favourite does not need suspension or there his chances go...

That also happened in the NRL game tonight.
Raiders have no hope and versed the Dragons, comp leaders, and there were fights left, right and centre.

Dragons will loose some players now

yeh its silly and undisciplined stuff (great to watch as a supporter though because we just dont see it anymore)... the players should be better than that. if players get rubbed out, it sometimes can mess with team chemistry and momentum... they then only have themselves to blame

I know it was silly the way our boys carried it on but it seems to happen to one side or another every season. There has to be protection for the top sides against this sort of thing.

I don't think the Pies boys did anything to get worried about. There was nothing I saw that was reportable on our side of the fights. Agree though that it is a bit of an issue with finals contenders playing no-hopers at this late stage, but there is very little that can be done other than the players being smart about it and perhaps the umpires/judiciary taking the situation into account.

I think it's just part of the game.

A premiership side will ignore it and let their actions on the field do the talking, without getting sucked into fisticuffs.

Oh that's right when 4 Collingwood heros smashed the smallest bloke on the field and he still couldn't get a free kick. Then when his team mates come running in to defend him they are accused of starting blues and gutless tactics etc!!

Gimmie a break, the only thing I wished is Nick Maxwell had of copped more of a flogging than he did from Hissy!!

King and Hislop have been offered suspensions. Both are gonna get at least a one and two match ban coz of their poor record . And 15 other richmond and pies players were all charged $1600

The fight started when the clown (smallest bloke on the ground) threw a cheap shot before any one tackled him....
