If they don't select Chandler, they can always slot Aldridge in at the 5... after all, he is listed as a 6'11, 240 pound centre/forward.

All i can say is don't count Kyrie Irving out because the Coach of the US Olympic team was His College Coach last Season (Duke University)

Rose, CP3, Deron and Westbrook all in front of him... He can be counted out, sorry.

Aldridge or Chandler, maybe Love, 1 of them would have to go to help cover the minutes Dwight will need on the bench... and for the extra length etc...

Odom, Iggy, Gordon, Gay won't go but will be there in the future, even possibly at the World Champs..... Westbrook and Billups could be unlucky to miss out... Wouldn't you love and hate to pick that roster at the same time!?

No, he won't.... And because the majority of people on here don't even follow basketball in Australia! It is sad when the US team gets talked about more and before our own Nation's side.

Isn't Gordon a member, along with Deng, of the England/UK national basketball team?

Anyways. The international game is all about grit. You'll need some down low guys like Chandler, Dwight and Love plus some creative PGs like Paul, Williams and Westbrook who are also feisty defenders. Then the uber star like Kobe and LeBron.

What I can't figure out is who the defence stretching 3 point shooters will be?

What basketball is there to follow in Australia? No offence to the NBL but the talent just isn't there... For example, lets look at Corey "Homocide" Williams, he's tried out for 3 NBA teams and never made a roster and he was the NBL MVP in 2010 and the 2011 MVP was Gary Ervin who never made it past the D-League... Worst part about this is that neither of these guys are Aussie.

Basketball in Australia is the reason do many Australians focus solely on the NBA. Actually it's much like the 1950s NBA only with a 3 point line; a bunch of white guys who are mostly under 6'9 and lack the athletic skills to replicate the excitement of the NBA, with a few black guys who usually dominate. Alas there doesn't seem to be a Bill Russell or Elgin Baylor around the corner.

That said, it's a bit like watching the Sheffield Shield and wondering its not as good as Test cricket. And that's being nice to the NBL.

Another player from the NBL was Ater Majok, he got drafted by the Lakers but they didn't sign him to play for them in the End
I don't think Patty Mills may play in the NBA again, which really Leaves only Andrew Bogut in the NBA for the Aussies!

Apparently Denver, New York and New Orleans are all interested in signing Patty Mills in March when the CBA season ends... Patty will definitely play in the NBA again.

Because the Chinese league made it very clear that they wouldn't let anyone out if their contracts early to return to the NBA once the lockout ended. He signed dates before the lockout ended which was bad luck

The NBL is never, has never, been like the NBA, no other league in the world has... To make the comparison is utter bull****.......

The NBL is a decent league, it is more like the European leagues then the NBA, I still can;t believe people reference the NBA in comparison to the NBL.... The NBA is the BEST league in the world, no question.....

There is more money in Europe etc so of course guys on the verge of the NBA won't come out here to play, when there is more money closer to home.... It's not that hard to work out and it HAS ALWAYS been the same.. Even in the 90's when the NBL was in it's prime.

The NBL is a good league for where we are and the following of Basketball in Australia. We are a Cricket and Football nation (AFL, NRL, RU and Soccer to a point.)

Then again, the only reason people follow the NBA so intently is because it's more flash then fundamentals or skill.....

The Chinese team cut him from his contract, I think its more the fact teams are settling on the rosters they have... I think he'll be back next season.

Unless there is some clause saying he can't sign anywhere until the end of the CBA season.
