My mate and I were at it about who would win a game of one on one between Jordan and lebron.
Both had great points on each player and why, but got me thinking outside the box and not knowing a great deal about the strategy of one on one (if there is any) who else could beat any player from any era.
So my question is who do you think would beat anyone else and why?
Also if you know any stories of players going one on one in training etc would love to hear them.
Shaq in his prime would just eat anyone alive one on one. Seriously, no double teaming and no fouls to give, the guy will back you down and dunk on you all day long or power in for a baby hook or layup. Yeah you can take jumpshots over him all day long but come near the paint and it's block city baby. Statistics don't lie (much), 5 feet shot = higher percentage than a 20 feet shot.

That's even worse. If it's properly officiated, who can stop Shaq without fouling out? The guy turns his shoulder into you and you're already 5 feet away from him.
Jordan & Kobe hands down ! BOTH would be amazing & the best ! ... Lebron Is a very big dude. But I just shake my head at his offensive skills being compared to Jordan & Kobe's.
I think Larry Bird would do awesome. Melo would score easier than Lebron but not (want to) defend as well.
Nice responses, I'm still with mj. Yeah lebron is huge and talented but no doubt but in my mind mj would find a way to beat anyone.
One thing we can all agree on is that damn it would be fun to watch.
Do these guys play each other one on one at training or anything like that?
