Which is more impressive?

I was talking to a guy at work today and we were discussing which was a more impressive feat. My opinion was 30-15 but here are the options.

Triple-Double - Double digits in 3 statistic categories i.e. 17pts 11reb 13ast

A 20-20 Game - 20+ in two statistical categories i.e. 22pts 20reb

A 30-15 Game - 30+ points and 15+ in a second category i.e. 37pts 15reb

A 40-Point Game - Pretty self explanatory 40+ points.

i rekon 30+ and 15+ especially if its points and assists, i think thats a huge feat compared to points and rebounds!!!!

Triple double means you are reading the play and making the right decision most of the time. The others mean that you can potentially cost your team in other ways. IMHO

I think it depends on the position.

As a PG - TD
As a SG or SF - 40+ points

As a C or PF - 30/15

Assists are too subjective as a stat. Some are given where they are not deserved and therefore makes stat lines look better, whereas things like rebounds are factual stats that result from great positioning!

triple double for me. shows a better skill set and that youre playing well in three categories opposed to two.

All that matters is if the team won, so scoring 40 points is good but not if the team loses big. Shooting percentages also mean something, a lot of players can get 30 points but if it takes 40 shots it isn't good.

For this list, I will pick triple-double.

There are probably stats somewhere that say how rare these feats are, that would be interesting to see.

Yeah def depends on position but trip dub is no easy feat neither is a 20/20

I would say trip dub close in front of 20/20

I was initially gonna say trip doub, but then went to 20/20 as I think they are pretty impressive; that is unless the trip doub is insane and not just something weak like 15/10/10 haha

I think it depends on the kind of triple double.. I say 10 blocks / 10 steals / 10 assist is more impressive then 20 pts/ 20 assist.. but that's just me.. lol

drexler had on with steals. 10 stls, 26pts, 11asst...and 9 rebounds!
and olajuwon made one with blocks. 11 of them. he was also just one assist off a QD.

There are a lot of records wilt has that I don't think will ever be topped, I read one somewhere also that Wilt had 9 consecutive triple doubles, crazy stuff.
