Some good ideas here, fingers crossed we can match offers for Lin & Fields because both are important to the team, keep the contracts already in play including Amare, he has shown in his first year at the Knicks that he can make a difference but first they need to move all fire extinguishers out of his reach.
Allow the other players out of contract to move on and test the free agency but keep the rest.
The Knicks made big changes last year and I think they would be stupid to change it all again, afterall when was the last time we made the playoffs and won a game?
Picking up Nash and keeping Lin is possible but I'd hate to see Lin part of that deal, Lin is important to the team and brings out the best in players.
If Nash is signed it's safe to say he has maybe 3 years in him and something needs to happen within that period or it's back to the drawing board.
Or how about this for a wet dream, D.Williams or D.Howard in the big apple.
Yeah some nice calls in here. If they could get Phil Jackson that would be HUGE.
As much as Melo is'nt my type of player, he's shown that he can do it on his own in the clutch, something that really only Kobe and Joe Johnson can do in the League. A guy like that can help alot (see Miami in close games).
I think they have a pretty good roster and people are right, if they did'nt have injuries and a coaching change they really should've been in the top 4 in the East. But, they still can't come out of the east. So they need to improve somewhere, PG really is that position. Also maybe some toughness off the bench like a good solid bang em up guy to back up the bigs well. I like Lin, but he would be an excellent back up to a Nash or Chris Paul or Deron Williams. Get any of these PG's and lookout.
It would be very hard to move Amare, I don't think anyone will take that deal. I really do think PG is the big issue.
