I noticed MattyJ has disappeared since he created that post about whether he should give a card to somone who gave him some free cards. It got a little heated but nothing that seemed too bad. I noticed his Avtar now says MattyJ has GONE! Surely he hasn't "spat the dummy" and left over that ?

Does anyone know ?
 
I am curious too.....i sent him some free cards but havent heard whether they were received??

I thought he might be still greiving over the death of his grandmother ??
 
I guess that could be the case but why would he put MattyJHAS GONE in his Avtar if that was the case ?
 
He didn't spit the dummy. He has decided to leave because he was put down when he didn't do anything wrong, I read the thread and he didn't say or do anything wrong and yet after it got a bit heated (again where he made no personal aspersions) most people that responded turned on him to some degree (unfortunately I wasn't on the forum at the time). Who is to know if he will come back, I hope he does, because he made it interesting around here and he is one of my buddies, but I don't blame him for wanting a break from this place after that.

That hopefully answers your question, and lets not turn this thread into some big debate, because I don't think it is required.

Nice that someone noticed he was gone though (genuine comment here, not sarcasm).

Yeah no worries, I also read the thread and it didn't seem like anyone turned on him (IMHO), it was a thread in the heated discussion part and thats is what it got - "Heated" A heated discussion thread like that always has the potential to blow up in your face so i guess you just gotta expect a little flak.

Anyways I hope he comes back too !

I'll let him know that people want him to come back. I think it was just bad timing with the thread and his grandmother.
 
I reckon he was pretty touchy at the moment... probably due to the passing of his grandmother and maybe it was the final straw... hopefully he comes back, he was a great member and a great bloke.
 
Anything like that straight after the loss of a close relative will hit a lot harder.
The loss of any active member is a shame in my book

i hope he returns.i had not check his profile but i had pm'ed him today as i was sending him a free card he was after as it is do a good deed week.if he responds i will let people know.

The fact that 2 pages have been filled in this thread in under 30 minutes would indicate people want him back !
