mate, everyone on this site is an adult, make your own judgement and choices, but dont start crap with members..
That's why we have the deal threads. I also think there's a site rule or policy that there can't be simultaneous trades or more than one trade going on at any one time, can lead to vagaries or misunderstandings which I believe is where most of the problems would arise. You can also change the status of the trade thread to 'Problems - In Progress' to bring the matter to the attention of the mods.

I read the rant thread and both parties are to blame.
Once the value was agreed on and date of payment and how it was to be done a deal thread should have been made then and agreed on. Not wait till the day someone is ready to pay.
When I can't pay for something I usually agree on a price and tell the person I am happy to deal with you on DATE when I get the money. In the mean time feel free to move them if you get the right offer. That is what I did with my recent MU exquisite purchase.
I said I was willing to pay XXX on DATE when I get paid. but if you get another offer and you are happy then take it and let me know. Otherwise PM me back on that DATE and we can deal.
I didn't say i will pay you XXX can you hold onto it and make the guy wait when there is a chance to turn the offer down.
I even had a deal thread were I paid in two installments over a two week period, it was written in black and white.
It isn't rocket science.

at the end of the day, its a public forum, you wanted to buy his cards, so you go by his rules.
the site isnt selling you cards, he is.
i will be the first to admit, and i would suspect everyone else has done it, i havent gone thru with a deal for whatever reason.
im happy to admit that.
but, there is a certain way to go about it..
after you had organised the payment date and method, after a lot of back and forward..i would have expected you to complete the deal.
if you dont want to complete the deal, make your intentions clear early, to avoid this such situation.
making threads ranting and raving probably isnt the answer, but as i said before. were not kids for **** sake.

i dont play favourites.
you dont have respect, you earn it. bainy's earnt it.
dont take that as im taking sides, IMO he probably should have kept it to PMs between yourself, himself and possibly a third party.
i think its time to let it go and be a learning experience for everyone.
