What's with everyone listening to Marbury???

What person came across as a Marbury hater, it was clearly stated that Marbury was a personally motivated player, was a negative prescence in the locker room which is well documented, and as for making a comment to the effect that anyone here made a comment on the premise that they werent in the NBA and the only formerly known as "Starbury" manages to somehow maintain a existance....please..spare us all the dramatics...


Baskettoz and white chocolate are the ones drama tising it becuase your the ones posting what he said in this thread but why? I thought white chocolate said that it shouldnt be bigger than the c's getting Kg well why did you make a post about this then lol your ure own enemy. Make a post about the cs getting Kg maybe I wont have to listen to you crap on about marbury just because hes attitude is defferent from every other player. Big deal mate. You in the new york starting line up lol please dont make me laugh. Be good if you could play aswell as you could talk.
 
So what if the shoes are horible dont buy them , if you dont like marbury dont talk about him get over it! What have you done for your comunity ? Maybe hes attitude makes him who he is because I think yours would be a lil diff if you wernt grown up in a rich ass family and solidy narrow at everyones perspective in the world eccept yours. Maybe if you were actually born in new york Brook town you would have a diff attitude just like every body on here has diff ideas and opinions , but haiting on what hes trying to do for those kids in US is pretty poor, have you been there do you know how they live?

And I wouldnt go talking about playing as well as you talk, I've seen you play, i've seen your ****ed up crossover dribbles you pretend to do, i've seen your sick expressions when you miss a 5 foot jumper while training with guys in a totally different world to where you want to be, i saw you wandering around the court looking for a feed wondering when it's your turn to jack up a shot.. so I wouldn't go personally insulting anyone with lines like that mate.. Me and Baskettoz are talking about a "celebrity" that has the right to be critisized, your defending him by taking it personally and talking trash and pointing fingers at us and being personal about it.. if you dont like this thread, then don't reply to it!! I'm not bagging the shoes, yes $14.95 or whatever is hard for some people to afford, though will it attract the market he's aiming for? I mean, still they're no jordans and thats what kids want, regardless of affordability.. l mean imagine what another $5 - $10 would do.. again, i give it to him for trying something..



 

The shoes are really nice.

And while lots of what you say is true, I think lots and lots of kids who live in poverty-stricken areas would just be happy to own a nice pair of shoes.

Marbury is one of the most popular players, his jersey has been in the top 3 sold for the past 3 seasons despite being not the best player, I think heaps and heaps of kids would be so happy just to own a pair of shoes labelled after him.
 

Especially inner city New York kids, as Marbury is not only a former Coney Island star, he is actually plying his trade in his home town.

Interesting to see what Telfair does over the next few years... If he can put together a couple of good years in the Twin Cities (how much longer does he have on his contract), he may follow the Marbury Trail and take over from Kidd in Jersey... Now that would be cool, a Jersey-NYC rivalry between Telfair and Marbur
 

by the time telly gets good and leaves marbury will be in europe or retired lol

Just wondering, because I know Andrew Gaze tried to do the same thing; dont know what happened to them...

Well i think both of us have contributed to the thread related to KG joining the Celtics on a number of occasions.

However i dont base my opinion on whether i have a dislike for Marbury as a player, he may very well be talented and had a solid career, however his attitude and the attitude of players of his kind....is what has tarnished and effected the reputation of the NBA worldwide.

And that kind.....is the one of which they are self absorbed and self motivated players...and hence players of that ilk imo have ongoing success by way of ill-founded and gotten media exposure, and sadly when they do....players far more worthy of recognition have careers achieving alot less by way of statistical recognition or the like but have a positive imprint on the league's landscape for many years to come....

Nah I wouldnt but I was wondering, mainly because I was wondering if the Gaze shoes were still around, and how well the Marbury's sell in comparision

I have a pair of Gaze shoes I didn't realise they were Gaze shoes at the time I bought them (this year) (I picked up a a pair of Rafter shoes too lol)... but I like them or more so I liked the price.
