I recently sold an item which I have sent but apparently has not arrived at it's destination. I have never had this occur before after hundreds of sales. Item isn't worth much and the buyer has very low FB with nothing to lose. I have to assume he's telling the truth but what's the usual procedure in this situation? Any info is appreciated.

Go to your local PO and ask if they have it (might have been returned to sender), ask him to go to his local PO and see if its there. If non of that works and you think he is legit I'd just refund his money.

If you don't have proof of sending it (registered) then you will have to refund him his cash (if paid via paypal)

Yeah especially if its not worth much, Just refund them willingly. I wouldnt go through the paypal dispute procedure and risk a neg when you are going to lose anyway.

I have done hundreds almost a thousand of these transactions and only had 1 item not make it to me.

A 1974 Rugby League card, Manly Terry Randall, which for some reason I decided I would buy every one of these cards that appeared on ebay, this lasted for about a year. Now I have 14 of them.

Back to the point, the seller was someone I had used dozens of time so we decided to split the difference, he refunded half the purchase price.

over the last 4 months ive had 4 occasions where mail from sydney area and melbourne area taking 4 weeks to reach me to my PO Box. Australia post, over the last 6 months, their standards have dropped badly in my eyes.
