Whats the story behind these?

Well he said he only has to answer to one person and that person is simply a belief by him. I guess you can make the rules up as you go.

IF he offers others refunds then you should get one as well.
 
A few months ago I won a few auctions from Patrick - David Robinson proofs; one was an uncut Hoops Face to Face sheet, another was a 93/4 Stadium Club uncut card, and another card too.

However, I never got the items in the mail.

After waiting endlessly, I contacted Patrick (through ebay item not received), and eventually he said he would send some more cards to me in the mail as a replacement, which I thought was great, as I was disappointed about not receiving the first lot of proofs.

The cards I ended up getting were Finest proofs..as seen in the previous threads on here.

Up until reading this post, I believed they were real proofs - Now, I'm not so sure.

Graham I posted this info on HK and it was immediately taken down within 2 mins, really can't believe they are defending this slime.

people get banned for flame wars, a guy was banned for having Jesus in his username.........but you can blatantly rip people off all over the world and as long as you in the "elite" crowd it gets swept under the rug. Unbelievable

I bought one of these 'proofs' from Patrick through an ebay auction before I knew about all of this. Now I am disappointed that they may not be more than a homemade art project. I would have still liked one, but for maybe $1.

Has anyone contacted Topps to see if such a 'proof' even exists? And if so are they missing some items from their warehouse? Were these purposefully put on the market?

I have bought plenty of cards of Pat before including some Finest "Proofs" and he has even bought cards off ebay on my behalf, so I am really shocked to hear that he would do something like this. If they do in fact come in big sheets why has he not provided somebody with a photo? I wonder if all the other proofs he sells are real also?

I look forward to finding out more about this and I do hope for Pats sake that he is not a fraud!

HK has some of the best traders in the world and I personally have made a couple of great friends from there. However, as Cal pointed out in his previous post, I do think there tends to be double standards by a few members. That's the same anywhere though, there's always a few people with differing ideas that don't represent everyone. It just seems that a few of the people involved in the management of the boards are like this.....which is sad. I suggest using it, you don't wanna hold the greater people responsible for a few peeps. Just know how things are operated and use accordingly. There really are some trading icons there......with a couple of our members here among those!

he's been back for a while mate....bit disappointing...some of the stuff seems legit like the fleer things but the finest sh!te is still the same junk....apparently he just built a house so i suppose he needs to pay off his mortgage

i think its cos they dont know if its real or not. when i got mine i didnt neg him. i thought they were suspect but had no reason to doubt him cos i'd brought off him before. it wasnt until i got an oversized finest of karl malone that i didnt want that i decided to test it. by that stage feedback was left. a lot of the buyers will be first time or just idiots wanting supposed "oddball" stuff...

i will refrain from suggesting ways to overcome this sort of fraud as davidlee and chadjajajajajajajajajajaja will ban me
 
bump! spoken to the HK admins and they havn't let this slide they are still processing it all and will hopefully have an outcome soon..............shame it has taken so long, Kudos to our Admins here who acted swiftly.

Over on HK he has had time to put up a fight and has provided proof of this getting them in sheets and cutting them himself, which is why they haven't acted yet.

I've asked for the pics to be posted ect so we will wait and see, wouldn't be surprised if he superglued 100 cards together to make a sheet lol
