As in, an employee at Topps takes a sheet of the acetate and a sheet of the backs (presumably produced separate and stuck together at the last part of production) and shiftily sells them out the back door or moves them on our the back door when they're not meant to. Could be done anytime from the start of production onwards!
 
Ben I hope you are right. From what I know of Patrick, he isnt a bad guy. This just doesnt look good thats all.

I for one hope they are legit, and that Patrick can provide some proof that they have been cut from a sheet. Even a photo of the sheet and I would be pretty convinced.

I just tried it and the front comes straight off without having too peel off the front if you leave it in the water long enough!

Anyone want a RARE PROOF of a 96/97 Finest Chuck Person ??

As for the backs peeling off couldn't you just use a steamer...steam the front and back off keeping them both in mint+ condition...rather than using hot water.
 
Guys - not really interested in the rubbish.

Yes a steamer might work, but I dont have one.

I just tried a 93-94 Finest - a bit more work but it happened. These Finest were very well made. I did make a video and ill see if I can upload it.
 
I think it is extremely unlikely that there would be any method for separating the front and back of these chrome type cards without badly damaging one or the other. Steam would still warp the crap out of the paper backing, and probably damage the front as well.
 
They seem to sweep things under the carpet when it's one of their own in the wrong.

he also broke 2 of the site rules in his PM to me which I made public and still nothing was done.......strange indeed
 
haha! yeah! i tried it in cold water also, it just takes alot longer!!! but works!!!!

Plus u can feel a container/bucket with water and do heaps at a time!!! So doesn't take as much time as they think!!!!

U could do 100 at a time easy!!!! So, nothing super difficult about it!!!!

Plus it doesnt bubble up with Hot water! Ive tried a few!!! So dont know why they were saying it did!!!! (how would they know anyway? have they done it???????)

Well Depity is a mod there and a member here will be interesting to see why the thread was removed and nothing done.

I was reading the PM here as Graham deleted it. I clicked the next link and it was all gone. Was only around 4:15.
