Whats the most expensive card you've bought?

Here is another one i picked up recently....Wayne Gretzky rookie card

Nice card though. I worked at a sports memorabilia shop for a while in my home town and my boss specialized in rookie cards and he had Walter Payton, John Elway, Jerry Rice, Michael Jordan (Fleer and Star) as well as Brett Hull and This Gretzky. His was a 6.5 graded. Your's the best I've seen so far. Aw well, you have it atleast!

Well i have offically taken out my old record for most expensive with this...... adding an extra $60us to the price of the last one
I had to have it though as i have the Graded 9.5 non-refractor Topps Chrome RC incoming

wow i was so naive when it came to buying cards only a few months ago

I've had a few above these prices lately but i must say they are much better choices.
The new best effort was $911aus dlvd

Wish i had waited to pay till today with US 89c to the $ i would have saved a stack of cash

lol its amazing how much things change in a few months! A few months ago, i'd consider 200 a lot, now 2000usd is average!

Still can mate! Just there comes a time when all that pops up are the biggies that you don't have...but they only are needed once and when they're gone, it's nice cheap sailing Trust me!

I think i have all the cheap ones already though haha so its been non stop biggies for the past 3 months. Not that im complaining

Haha yeah I think I have just about hit the straps on the Smith/Hill collections. There's some nice stuff that pops up every now and then but yeah...man I need to mailday all the sick **** I have had in...stupid Photobucket! (And lack of time to try your suggestion last time I mentioned this )

You'd have to set aside a full day atleast to get them sorted mate, thats one of the biggest collections i've seen especially since you havn't added to your bucket in months

awesome card there. Too bad I don't have that kind of cash. I would find it hard to justify spending over 2K on a card. Maybe when I start earning more money I can I guess haha. Thanks for sharing.
