Hi all,
I am looking at making my biggest purchase to date, and I want to ensure I am covered in case something goes wrong i.e the card not arriving. What do I need to do to ensure the purchase is insured(not sure of this is the right word) by Paypal. The seller is in China and shipping to NZ is only $6. The card is going to easily be $200(which to me is high end) plus. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Daniel

I would certainly ask for Registered/Insured mail on this item.
I have seen numerous sellers from China offering this form of mailing on high end purchases.
You are of course covered by paypal if (heaven forbid) item does not arrive.

Yeah ask for the coverage, I just dropped $750 on some cards and it cost me $70usd to get them fully insured from Canada.

So if the card doesn't arrive do I simply lodge a claim with Paypal for my money back?

What would you expect to pay when coming from China??

Sorry for all the question lads but I haven't bought a card this expensive before so have never really worried about it!

From what I understand, it is basically up to the seller to make sure it is shipped in a safe way ! I think its one of the main reasons for asking that paypal is made as a gift. If the buyer wants cheap post which is typically without tracking or insurance etc , if it the buyer is a scumbag then they can claim that good never arrived and get there money back and some free cards. Registered all the way if your a seller unless you want to take a risk

Cheers Terry. I think I understand now. As long as I pay for the item via Paypal(which I will) and not as a gift then I am more than covered should the item not arrive.

I hope it helps and another thing that I do (might start doing for every pack soon) is to video any parcels that you open in case you get sent a $2 instead or the condition is not as described. I purchased a Penny hardaway 1st day issue RC when I first got introduced to ebay and the seller sent me junk cards instead of the card I won. Their reply to my slightly abusive questions at the time was, " can you prove it because I sent it" .

Not just as a gift.... nothing that is under the "Personal" tab I believe.

Thanks man!!
