OK, this is a longish story, and not ALL basketball related, but close enough. I saw Benny J's Rodman thread a couple of weeks ago, where he was looking for a Rodman bobblehead and found another figure. I collect toys/action figures, and remembered that I have a few Rodman and Penny Hardaway big head figures. SO I went to look for said figures in the garage.....but they weren't there! I then realised "wait a minute, half of my boxes of figures aren't here!!!". We moved out of our last rental place 9 months ago into our new house, so I was hoping these figures were left at my parents house.....nope, nothing there. So I thought, these must have been stolen or lost or something. After a couple of days pondering, the most likely ossibility was......that we left them at the last house. Luckily I still had the owner of the houses number, so I messaged him to see if he could check if I had left anything at the old place. So after a few days, he got back to me and said he would check it out. A few days later I hadn't heard from him so I called....and indeed, we had managed to leave four boxes of figures at the old house. I'm talking BIG boxes, one is a microwave oven box, the other 3 are a little smaller. Heaps of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and older comic hero figures there, along with all of my Starting Line-up figures and the Headliners. Amazing that they were still there, and no-one had noticed them in the last 9 months (true, they were in the top part of a built in wardrobe, but still, you'd check in there, wouldn't you?)
wolvesjr...I had a look at the backs of the figures, but couldn't see any Rider figures there, I would have thought there would be a Dunk Champ figure, but maybe not.
ace, the Headliners aren't exactly bobbleheads, as the heads are in a fixed position and not on a spring. More like caricatures of the players.
Funk...yeah, some of the likenesses are pretty crap, I have Ewing and Olajuwan figures loose from 1988, which have identical bodies apart from the uniform paintjobs, and the heads which bear almost no resemblance to these greats of the game. More recent figures obviously have better resemblences as they are made using more up-to-date molding techniques. And the Star Wars figures I have are all from the more recent releases, unfortunately I don't have any of the originals in Mint-On-Card condition (only have a few loose ones).
