hey all...as you have read recently i had a bad experience with $guru$...anyway with a heap of bullshit and having the negative feedback removed that i left him, i lodged a paypal claim and he has come around and offered a full refund...okay here is the catch, i paid $55.25 in total for the card, inc a rip off $15.25 for postage when it cost him $3, but i have to send it back registered and it will cost $25...so it really isnt benefiting me in any way...the other option is he would refund the ripped off postage amount of $10, but i keep the damaged card...either way im not really gaining much! ebay dont care that he sent me a dodgy card or ripped me on postage...they simply dont care and wont respond to my complaint! once again he is there cash cow and they will always side with him...
Secondly...Esko opened a can of worms on blowout and the thread got canned....i just got approval from admin for blowout, should i start another thread on guru and the the rip of merchant ebayers scamming people on postage...or let it go???? your thoughts peoples...

Take the $10 and let it go mate!

It's not worth getting any more annoyed about it! Blowout has some good guys and deals to be had, so I would hate to see you get a bad rep from day 1

I'm sure we can all think of other ways to give Guru a hard time on your behalf! ;)

*goes to start submitting ridiculously low offers on all Guru listings*

yeah i was thinking that! time to let it go me thinks...just put down to a bad experience...happens to us all! PLUS like you said might make something happen on blowout...

So you send it back and end up with $30 after postage (but down 25 overall) or keep damaged and get $10?

I'd probably send it back but depends if it's worth the effort to you

Hi aram

Hate to hear such stories but unfortunately your choices are pretty limited. Rather than confronting him, Leaving negative feedback would warn the others of such poor tactics from the seller

The other threads got shut down because of in-fighting.

Since you are the actual victim I think it's worth posting and explaining the entire story. They'll still probably attack you, but that's what they do on BO...
If you haven't joined there until now, you can probably do without the site anyway...

left negative feedback and it got removed...because he is a powerseller with twenty thousand plus feedback, ebay wont answer me on why they wont do anything to him, i got a damaged card and was overcharged on postage but thats ok, he is a cash cow, plus i got a warning for extortion, because we wernt getting anywhere and i blatantly told him that if we couldnt agree on anything i would leave negative feedback...so that is extortion apparently! im over it all to be honest, typical ebay wearing rose coloured glasses...

There is an alternative on sending the card back:

The post office sells a prepaid express international envelope for about $17
Its about A5 in size and has door to door tracking to meet ebays return policy
Catch is its for 'documents only'...

In saying that, ive used the service numerous times to send cards to the US
and its only come back to me once because i sent it in a one touch case and it was too thick.
You could just sandwich the card in between two thick cardboard pieces and wrap that in a
couple of pages of A4 to make it look like theres only documents in there...
