What should the ref had ruled? Knights vs Tigers

The rule for ref interference is a full set of 6 to the team with the ball where the ref infringined. I think this is the same thing as what happened on the week end, but it should be a re play of the ball from where it was last tackled.

I am a tigers fan and it certainly cost our team. I also play soccer on the weekends and other field balls constantly come onto the field. Your natural reaction is to quickly kick it out of the way. To deliberately kick it to put off a player just isn't in the spirit of the game. (Any game) I don't think anything should be done or sims chastised . But the media and nrl need to say this was a one off they we don't see in the spirit of he game. If it happens again that player needs to be an open target for being an a-grade dickhead.

Tariq claims he didnt see the ball, but it is blatantly obviously that he puts a swing into his stride when his foot touches the ball.

I watched the game and he didnt even look at the ball, he just kicked it out of the way, so he was infringed. Scrum, Knights feed as they were the attacking team.

I do agree with that, no problem at all. If he had tripped over the ball, like a soccer player going for a penalty, lets say, still knights ball, scrum feed. Rankin had a quick look which definately put him off, but if he caught the ball, it was play on. The 1st thing i heard, and i believe it was a referee, was Scrum, Kights feed. Then somehow, it was a dropout, which confused me.

Knights ball, scrum. And it's korbin, not tariq. Tariq would have shoulder charged the ball, not kicked it.

Any other time there is a second ball on the field the ref's call time off so the extra ball can be removed, in this case no one knew where the ball came from except it's 'owner', there are rules apparently that suggest that the Tigers should have been given possession following the incident according to the Telegraph, however they made light of the situation rather than condemning the farce that resulted.
