Yeah this one is a bit different though I think as the trade was agreed to and cancelled by the league. The other what ifs are team decisions.Lots of what ifs, what if Jordan was drafted by Portland, what if Camelo was drafted by the pistons
True, lakers are really bad, don't think even Paul could make much of a diffrence, maybe 10 more wins on the year, if it was not for Kobe the lakers would go into full tank mode for the draft
Think back to the days of the triangle offense, it made everyone accountable to score and take shots. I think the disjointment is mostly due to the pieces and lack of leadership on the courtThe beard in OKC still.. That would have been pretty crazy but the trade allowed him to grow as a line superstar talent which arguably he could never have done had he continued to be the third fiddle. To be honest, CP3 in LA, I don't know I would really take that fit with Kobe. CP3 was always more a pick and roll type player and always had the most success who rolled to the basket off a pick like Tyson Chandler, Blake and Deandre for the high lob and alley oop. I just see the Lakers offense as being very disjointed if he had gone there and he's no longer as potent a scorer as he was in his younger days.
