What Guest users see

Just a thought arising from the thread that portpower (anthony) created.

I was able to view this site, unregistered (as a guest) from work today.

I just wondered if there was a chance that our details could be hidden (or unlinked) for guests. I suggest they can still see the name of who posted, but they aren't able to see our details.

Is this something that can be done???

id prefer for real collectors to sign up, rather then just random people who wanna see what our site is about then never return. Therefore allowing them to see what our site is about, generally gives us collectors who wanna be apart of our community.

If it's collectors you want, then just give them access to the "card" area forums and none of the general forums. A lot of the genuine people become a part of the group very fast so we can generally trust them sooner. I have had requests from people who have no feedback wanting to pick up cards from my place which I think is quite unecessary.

Yeah man, I wouldn't mind if it was someone who was reputable on this site, but someone who has just registered makes it almost like a security issue!

I agree that guest should be able to view contents of each thread, but my thought was to unlink our details that they can view as guests.

For example, as a guest, I can view, say Chad's details, and get any details he has filled out (such as email, address etc).

This is what I would prefer to see hidden to guests.
