What ERROR cards do you know of?

Guys,

I'm trying to put a list together with images of any NSWRL/ARL/NRL cards that were released in ERROR.
I'd like to know what the error was and whether a correction card was issued and if the correction card is more scarce or if the error card is the harder version to obtain.
Of course gestimations on value would be of help.

Here is the type of thing I'm talking about:

Paul Green from Dynamics 1994 Series 2 release.

1981 - Card 127 Steve Mayoh had simon Brockwell's photo on it. Was replaced with correct photo.

one i know of is the 2007 Invincibles had an error card which had tony Puletua on the front and Craig Gowers stats on the back.

They did issue replacements, i would assume the correct replacement would be harder to get than the error card (just my opinion)

The Select 2010 JDC of Jarrod Croker has a picture of Glenn Buttriss. There was no replacement. The thing that annoyed me most about that is that they made a replacement for their error checklist for that set.

The Telegraph set that year had the same error but they were good enough to make a replacement of their mistake.

There was a Select set in the early 2000s that had three error cards. One was a Dragons card of Brett Firman with Matt Head photo (or the other way round ). There was also a Warrior and a Manly player that had wrong pictures.

I can't remember the year or the players off the top of my head. There were replacements made for these cards.

A mate was talking to Jamie Jones from Panthers. He reckoned ALL the photos of him were wrong. They looked like him to me (but could be right)

2009 JDC John Sutton was originally released with Lachlan Coote on the front and Sutton on the back. Midway through the release Select started printing correct versions and they inserted them into new cases like crazy. I was getting upto 7 correct Sutton JDCs per case instead of the 2-3 of every other player.

I received about 45 error cards from 2010 JDCs that were normal on the front but had the backs printed upside down. The backs aren't necessarily the same player either. These are one offs i believe.

There are a few mistakes in the 1993 Regina set - Front and back mixed up. From memory Paul Harrigon was one of them. I will get them out tonight.

Dont forget Ben Teo common from Strike this year.

Listing Select errors could take all day .
John Hynes 1968b error and correction.
Anyone know any info on this one?

There was a heap from the 1992 Regina series as well, front of card was completely different player to the back.

This one is actually 1992 It was Harrigon front and Langford back and vice versa. There IS correct cards which I beleive are rarer.

The 1989 Tunks card with Sharks logo (error) and Bulldogs.

This player is actually Jason Lidden.

There is also this card of Jason Lidden, but its not him.

I have a Manly brains trust trying to identify the player, they all agree its not Harvey.

The 1995 Series 2 card of Tony Herman has a photo of Craig Kimmorley on it. No correction.

There's also a 1988 Teo Ropati (should be Tea) and I think 1989 Stan Stewart (should be Sam). No corrections.

I'm sure there's another Knights misspelling somewhere, but it doesn't spring to mind.

The 96 signature gold card of Jason Croker had a printed name instead of a signature at the bottom. They spelt it Crocker. I'll have to double check, but I think they spelt it right on the side of the card.

There's a Darren Smith/Kevin Moore incorrect name/picture from the Dogs in the 1991 set - no correction there

I did know of the Jarrod Croker Telegraph error card. I had the replacement sent to me. Are you saying the error card had Glenn Buttriss' image on it (the Telegraph version)?
Can you confirm these with scans or the particular cards?

As I've never been a modern Select collector this is all news to me. I was a HUGE collector before the Super League war broke out in 1997/8 and then lost interest in cards. That and the rubbish cards that were on offer.

Yes, thanks for the info. I'm aware of the Andrew Langford/Paul Harragon errors. I personally drove to Regina's warehouse and got the correct cards in 1993.
Typo's happen, so I don't class these as error cards "unless" a replacement was offered.

2004 authentic daniel heckenberg/jason king, matthew head/brett firman and jerry seuseu/awen guttenbiel??,replacement cards were made

Pretty sure the player pictured is Bruce "goldilocks" Walker who went from North Sydney to Manly.
