hey all,

as the title stats, what do you do...
started collecting vucevic when he first came to orlando for the 12-13 season ( was when i got back into NBA cards ) and since that was the team i collected as a youngun i thought id continue it on, and found there rising center to be very cheap to collect at the start of the season, half way through season 12-13 there was a little jump in prices and a bit more last season,
now after a few weeks into this year his cards are going up up up and anything nice is now really starting to push the budget... last couple of sales on ebay where the highest yet for cards i already have. nearly double what i paid.

so what have others done in this situation???

obvious options are to sell up and start again with someone cheaper...
hold on and hope the hype passes
pickup alot less cards and watch some dream cards go on by... :(

opinions appreciated. :)

What a luxury to have.

Sell up and make some money, or ride it out?

I like Vuc and you have an awesome collection.

Depends on anybody you'd rather collect. I don't think he's gonna ever go to AD levels so should always be affordable. Just don't collect the lower end stuff maybe?

it is. :)

no one else i really want to collect on the magic roster... elfried was an option but his autos are a bit high for me..
budget is down to about $20 a week these days, and when i like to do a GB every now and then doesn't leave much for PC cards if i miss in the GBs..
maybe i need to give them up. heh.
stopped buying low end cards at least 6 months ago, just wayyyy to many to collect.. maybe sell some low end stuff (replaceable) to pick up some nicer stuff..

Sell while they are at a premium. Re buy when the prices dip back down.

Yes do this! I had the same issue with Kawhi when he won the Finals MVP last season and sold up and had a sweet ROI. To be honest though I was a bit devo as he was my fav player and my PC was just gathering steam but now I collect Kyle Anderson and things are more affordable. One thing you learn is you can't have everything so bid within your budget and collect what you find appealing. A big part of this hobby is speculation, which rookies will bust and which will break out, we don't know but I can tell you from my experience when you get it right and prices soar it is a great feeling and whether you sell or not you have a handy investment.

Vucevic is cool prob sell a few and with that funds get some thing Nasty of big Vuc ....but yea i guess still does not solve the problem haha unless you keep that special few pc items and start fresh with some one else cheers izy.

I'm not a fan of selling if he is your favourite player. I was going to sell my PG collection when it became too much due to having a baby. I did sell a few and tried collecting someone cheaper but it just wasn't the same.

I'm now back collecting PG and loving it. I just pick and choose which cards I buy (I think this is the key). I'm not going to chase any low end cards unless they pop up on COMC for a reasonable price.

prices seem to have come back to earth after a couple of quite games.

just picked up two certified cards both to /5 for just over $20 dlvd. :)

I've started a few new PC's to try and keep things relatively "cheap".

First is a 2004-05 Kris Humphries PC (his rookie year).

Second, is a Channing Frye PC in which every CARD must cost $5.00 or less.
