Just went out and bought a new brother scanner 4 in 1 cost me a fair bit as I wanted a good one for scans...get home and the usb cable does not come as standard...what the ****. its a fuken $3 cord now I have to go out AGAIN tomorrow to get the usb cord, thats bullshit.

I must admit I didn't know that........My camera came with a USB cable, my MP3 player came with USB cable and so did my laptop........I would have assumed a scanner would too

I have never bought anything that didnt come with a USB cord!! Especially being brother i thought it would have come with it!!

Actually i remember seeing a scanner that stated no usb cord on the front of the box...not sure what brand tho..
Pretty sad effort really !

Same thing happen to me when I purchased my Canon scanner.

I emailed the comapany and they gave some pathetic excuse about "there's different usb cords for different pcs? so they can't include the usb cords in case its the wrong one??"

I say they are trying to cut costs.

Mate, I work for one of the companies mentioned and even I got stung with no USB cord.

Ill try and find out what the reasoning is behind it.
