So I had my mid year work dinner last night, so I sold my Temper Trap ticket (the gig was on the same night) on eBay.
The girl paid via paypal whilst I was overseas so I told her I would send when I get back...the monday before the gig (friday night).
So off I went to the PO, sent the ticket via regular post, bought a few packs of teamcoach (pulled a tambo wildcard yay) and off I went.
She is then emailing me all the time, saying it hasn't come etc etc. We confirmed the address, I even rang the PO and made sure it was sent (the guy there commented on the temper trap and remembered me). He said it was definitely sent.
Anyway it just doesn't rock up. And she leaves me a negative.
What more can I do? I know, could have sent it registered, but I included free regular post in the listing and she lives in Adelaide too. I sent the ticket, replied to all her queries at record pace etc
Regular mail can sometimes take over a week. There are lots of stuff ups at the post office. For concert tickets and things that cannot wait, I think it is best to send via express or deliver it to her yourself since she lives in the same city.
Something like that i would have sent registered or probably express to make sure it got there in time anyway being a ticket for a gig on the same week you sent it. You live you learn i guess.
Maybe call ebay and explain your situation?

Well i have bad news for you, Paypal will dedcut the money from you to pay her back since you can't prove that you sent it, with some form of paper work / receit that shows her name and address...

i was about to say oh well, 1 neg feedback isnt bad, it happens from time to time. ive had maybe 2-3 over the years i been with ebay. some for stupid petty reasons that could have been resolved. others for just miscommunication, not that bigger deal....but then if your gonna have to pay the money back. that really sucks. especially considering once the tickets do arrive they are now worthless and cant be sent back to you to re-sell. sorry mate thats a bad situation.

It does suck mate but I think you answered you own question........registered post
if I have a BIGish sale I always use registered post, especially with PayPal payment.
Sorry to see you copped one but yeah, go the registered post on the bigger sales mate.
