Um... that sounded a bit awkward - but it's all I had to work with!
This year's Preferred booklets are a hit in my eyes; more themes, colours and player selection compared to the (already nice) inaugural set. Watching the Panini making-of vid of the GS Maravich patch also instilled a bit more confidence that they weren't simply slapping together random bits of any old jersey into these booklets
With NT in the spotlight and Preferred boxes at a relatively bargain price, I was about to gamble on a case or two hoping to snag a few nice patch booklets... however common sense prevailed and I simply hunted for singles instead of recklessly throwing money at boxes (as I do) which were likely to yield nothing I want!
Well, I may be a slow learner but I do get there eventually
Anyway, blah, blah, blah... here are the cards already!
The laundry list so far:
VETERAN (shown this one before, though it bears repeating!): Durant/Bryant/Stoudemire/Ginobili/Griffin/Bosh/Howard
ROOKIE: Valanciunas/Leonard/Robinson/Davis/Drummond/Kanter (need /25 version for the rainbow)
LOTTERY (decent draft class here): Griffin/Hansbrough/Harden/Evans/Curry/DeRozan/Jennings
REPEAT (one of my favs; pre-adi tag awesomeness): O'Neal/Cooper/Walton/Rodman/Olajuwon/Thomas
The best thing about these booklets is that I now *technically* have 1/1 tags from a heap of awesome talent - something I couldn't achieve if I had to pick up cards of each individual player (Kyrie in particular)... it's cheating a bit but I don't care! Hahaha
Now I'm just hoping to add one more, er, one of one feat. the one and only King James (unfortunately been pipped at the post on the last couple of auctions)... and possibly another old school version preferably with some sweet Nike, Champion, Sand knit etc. tags.
Wait - they have Magnetic 'triple' touches for booklets now?! I suppose they were invented to contain that much tag awesomeness from coming to harm! Bravo sir!
While I really wanted to just post how great these cards are and that you are a lucky man.... I can't!
You have somehow managed to miss out the name of one of the best players in this thread, not once but TWICE! I can't tell if it was on purpose or just a real coincidence??
