its as if it's about to end and people are sniping for it..... there is freaking 9 days 22 hours to go!!! LOL

u gotta remember that its for charity guys. some of these big companies wouldnt think twice about forking out a couple hundred grand for charity.

but yeah thats crazy, its jumped about 80,000 bucks in 10 minutes!!!

jesus break dancing christ! its past the 500,000 mark now still with over 9 days to go...

im predicting high 8s/low 9s to finish. at this rate though...

Bullshit bidding again, thats what happens when Ebay spams all its users with the link to the Auction - the number of genuine bids would be low methinks.

Just saw this in the listing and they've already started cancelling bids because of it. My guess is they will cancel many more before its all over.

This auction will be verified by trading assistant GoingGone - helping charities raise money on eBay.
Your bid will only be considered if you have been verified by the GoingGone bidder verification process.

Before or after you have placed your bid please visit www.goinggone.com.au/verify and enter your information. A member of the GoingGone team will be in touch to verify the details you have supplied as well as to place a pre-authorisation on your credit card for $AUD 250.

If you are the winning bidder and fail to complete the transaction for any reason your credit card will be charged the $AUD 250 - this is not refundable. If your details cannot be verified by GoingGone then your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from bidding again on this item.

Going Gone reserves the right to block a bidder, refuse to accept any bid or cancel or withdraw a bid for any reason including feedback rating, non-paying bidder strikes, bid retraction history, and recent bid history.

I should be expecting a call from them shortly then....oopppp..

BTW...whats with the non Grant Hill card in your avatar

According to the Herald Sun today someone from Emerald in Queensland won the car for $187,600.
The person who started this thread is also from Emerald in QLD....Evan, are they any relation??

Shit...go Emerald. I used to live out there with Ev....I wonder who won it.

It doesnt surprise me that someone out there won it. There is a hell of a lot of money out there...with all the mines etc.

really :o WOW!!

it should fit in really well with the 1000 other monaro's in town!! LMAO

like DVS said there is plenty of money out here with all the coal mines etc so i'd say a rich miner won it. i'll have to scope it out some more and get back to you guys, but at this stage i have no idea who would have won it!!

an update for anyone interested... the local paper printed a story on it today...

the winning bidder is named Darryl Mattingley (i think he owns a removalist business) and basically has his hand in everything and owns half the town (you know those kind of people... every town has 1 or 2 of them??) He says he is a ford fan but bought the monaro basically cause it was the last one and he could?? he has no plans to register it and is just going to preserve it in his garage along with his ford jeep, 2 ford XY GT's and a fire engine or 2?? (too much money!!! )

and get this.... the second highest bidder... also from Emerald

anyone would think this town was rich?? LOL
