Haven’t been around here much lately, I’ve started a new job and haven’t had much spare time, but was keen to show off some recent mail that has taken some time to put together.
I've gone fairly hard at both the Leaf and Preferred sets for my Gilmore PC, and landed some biggies of late......here's my progress:
2012 LEAF
/15

Master set

Master set
And tracked down 3 of the 4 plate autos:

And here's all 4 plate autos:
Base auto
/25 auto
Can't find the red /5 auto anywhere (any help would be appreciated!)...
...but have these 4 plates.....2 are of the green /25 and 2 are of the red /5, so I need 4 more for the full set of 8:
Here's all the plate autos together:
2012 PREFERRED
/25
/20
/15

Can't find the emerald /2...
...but did land this black whale (thanks so much to fullmetal for parting with it):

And the biggie...
Master set

And now for the silhouettes.....these are the first A-Train cards to contain Bulls game jersey:

I am 99.9% sure that Panini sourced the Bulls GU goodness from this incredible Grey Flannel auction item from their sixth annual HOF auction around 8 months ago.....I was keen to bid but a final price of $3600 was out of my range at the time unfortunately:
And finally the 2 A-Train booklets:
So I just need the die-cut emerald /2 and the Crown Royale black 1/1 for the A-Train Preferred master set - any help will be rewarded!!!
Must be the tallest player in the NBA history if he is measured to the top of his hair. I am still hoping for a card in a Celtics uniform, it would be a good idea if the back had his complete career stats as that was his last NBA stop.
You must be the Magnum, P.I. of card collecting. Nobody else can find so many 1 of 1 cards. Also, with all the printing plates, you can start making your own cards.
That's too many low numbered autos for a single collector! Does anybody else collect Gilmore? I think he might be signing a bit too much though - what was once a nice looking auto has gotten a bit um, sloppy?! Monster haul though as usual!
Brad, that is really, truly an epic mailday!! I love the Preferred stuff and you have killed the Gilmore chase!! All those PP are just awesome too! Well done mate!
