Valuing and Pricing

Hi everyone, just wondering how you all get your price/value for your cards? Being out of collecting for so long all i can do atm is check diff sites but all have different pricing and some vary greatly. Any help is much appreciated.

Hey Sean,

Good to see a fellow Coastie on OCT.

Also search Ebay completed listings as this method is a fair guide on what people are currently willing to pay.

Price can certainly fluctuate wildly at times.

Cheers mate, Yeah sure seems that way, ive ordered the ASCC price guide to give me a rough idea of market value and this sites proving ever helpful

Remember the ascc magazine is also just someones opinion. Cardzone also released a price guide which is also their opinion. Price is subjective, a card is worth whatever you are willing to pay for it. Some cards are naturally going to have a higher price because of the player, a cam smith auto would command a better price than a sam thaiday auto. Keep looking for the particular card / auto you are chasing, one will usually pop up at the right price.

Yes true, same as Broncos cards be worth more to you and Knights cards be worth more to me. Yeah i always try n wait as im only fresh back into collecting and gotta budget, been lucky to get most things little bit less if im patient

Yeah only use the price guide as a GUIDE. An excellent resource though.

Patience is the key and does have its rewards...... although sometimes when you gotta have it you gotta have it.
