Value Question

How come in T-Cert, a lot of the time the golds are valued more highly than the /5 emeralds?
Just wondering, having seen some eBay auctions on these.

probably because of the supply/demand aspect. Even though the golds are considerably more common than the emeralds, their's more about so therefore more people are after them. The emeralds .... are pretty darn hard to find so there's less sale action on them compared to the golds.

It's not just in Totally Certified, Select is the same.

I think the golds are more desirable for the simple fact that they look better, and appeal to the greater number of people.

Maybe there are also a few set collectors for the gold, trying to get one of every gold. So they are competing with the player collectors, whereas it will be less likely that there are going to be set collectors for the emeralds, cos they are just too few.

I know that I recently made the decision to chase mainly gold /10's from now on in my Kobe PC purely for looks. They are always amazing in hand.

I dont know why panini plan the rainbows the way they do. Surely gold should be rarer than green...
