does anybody know how long it should take for an item to be delivered when it is sent via USPS mail with a tracking number ? apparently it was sent on 9th of August going buy the tracking no. info on the USPS web site, i have not received the item yet and starting to get a bit worried.

you should have got it already.
i get packages atleast once a week and it only takes longer than 10 days when customs holds it up,but you would have got a letter from them already.

contact who you bought it through a.s.a.p to sort something out

Ahhh deliveries from the USA are taking a bit longer than normal at the moment. If you have a tracking number, have you tried punching it into auspost.com.au to see what comes up ?

G, Is this a fact? re: Deliveries from the USA?

I received one package today and it was stamped Aug 22... But Im waiting for some that should have been here late last week.. One of them is a global priority and was mailed on the 18th....

thanks for quick relays guys. Thanks for the link for aussie post, i will be calling the 1800 no. tomorrow as the guy from aussie post said the people that deal with international registered post finish at 5.30pm. But he did say they should be able to give me an answer of where the item is, he said it is possible it is held up in customs.

You think you've got it bad, I've got 5 packages ALL SENT REGISTERED prior to August which I am still waiting to receive. Lucky they were all registered, so I can make a with insurance (linked to the registered) or through paypal if they don't arrive.

yeh im having alot of trouble with a couple of packages from the states, altho they were sent via airmail but still a month is ages to wait. I hate being riped off by americans!!

Ok, I received a package today and it was opened for Quarantine inspection by Australia Post... So this must be causing all the delays.... :(

i hope so, but good to hear you got your package.

Its not an advertised fact, but ive noticed of late even Global Priority is taking more two weeks to get here, Airmail a bit slower, and don't mention surface (hey Chad!). It seems to go in cycles, and I wouldnt be surprised if they are scanning absolutely everything that leaves the US (especially after the bomb scares a few weeks back)

i just called the USPS PH no. and the lady on the ph told my item was dropped off at the post office on the 9th August but they didn't send it till the 24th August. So i should be seeing it soon, pretty slack.
