UPS and WTF?

Here is a funny one for you all!

I had the urge to bust some NBA so I ordered a few boxes from DACW on Thursday night.

I tracked the parcel and it arrived in Sydney, Australia on Saturday........I rang UPS to ask what day it will be delivered (To make sure someone will be home) and can you believe I won't get it until Friday!!!

That means it look less time to travel from Buffalo, NY, United States to Australia than it will take to travel from Sydney to the Western Suburbs of Sydney - WTF?

Lol I live in Western Sydney as well and have order from DACArdworld quite a few times and UPS always got it here in 3 working days..

What does it say on the tracking?

I think you will find its because Customs has had a bunch of work stoppages in the past week.

Tough break mate that's rubbish! It travels a couple thousand k's in a couple days then takes 4 days to travel an extra 30 or so.

Yeah that's true! Add the public Holiday and there is two days right there!

Oh well........it gets here when it gets here!

The good news is that I'll be busting wax this week :D :thumbsup:
 
Geez..............I would be happy to get my stuff in a week. I bought and paid for 3 boxes on 19 Sep 11 and UPS still has the item at the sort facility in NY.
 
That sucks to here guys... :(
My experiece has been with DA is that If i order on the Friday it will show up on Tuesday the next week (UPS Int Saver)

Yup that is what happened when I was in Perth but like a few have said, the Customs stop work and public holiday put pay to that!
 
I had that problem as well before. It got to Sydney pronto, so I called them to see when they would deliver it to me or if I could pick it up. Do you know what their reply was????


........The sender paid for 7 day service, so it will not be delivered to you until 7 days and you cannot come and pick it up until then.

Why??????

You did not pay to get it within 2 days.....so it will sit in the warehouse and the ones that have been paid for quicker deilery will be processed first.

WTF?

I went there myself, spoke to the guys, they found my package and gave it to me.

It had been processed and was sitting in a pile that was supposed to be delivered on a certain day. And they told me ..... do not do that again!

Never had that problem with DHL......though wy wife had something delivered by DHL, and they sometimes use contractors (aka Australia Post within Australia to dispatch the item thini Australia) and what DHL said is that you may leave a message for how you want it delivered, but their contractor may not read the message (and just keep trying to deliver to the address on the pacakge) and what they did with my wife's package was sign for the item (fake signature) and left it in the post box. These were not cards but bank documents! When we called up DHL they said the package was signed for by "Ms Lau" ..... no one we know around here by that name.

reckon you'll get it wednesday at the latest i've had it happen to me a few times before its always taken the same amount of time 5 days is the most i've had to wait from dacard

Ridiculous isn't it? It is just sitting there. You'd think if someone was willing to pick it up from them so they do not run the risk of anything happening to it while still in their possession, they'd be more than happy to get rid of it?

Yeah I didn't realise what he meant when he said "It's been paid for by the sender" until I read your post.........FFS!

Oh well I am just happy to get into some busting VERY soon lol
