Problem is, the players (ones like Kobeeeeee *sarcasm*) think they are worth the wait, and will make you wait, as well as the company they are signing for.
Maybe if some of you guys had chicks bits he'd be more than happy to sign, maybe even his phone number
But also, on a serious note. It is stated on some products I have seen, that redemptions cards are in the boxes, so it isn't really a misrepresentation on the company's behalf. If you don't want redemptions, don't buy the product.
In my eyes, with all Fleer redemptions, it's proof of something you could of had. Not that you probably would of gotten it anyway, but still.
It's like a contract really. 'Bust the wrapper and you get what you get'. I do find redemptions frustrating, but, imagine if you bought a box of something and it came all mangled in the post and you had an awesome card in it, but it was all damaged?
I dunno. It's a very touchy topic really. Same with sticker autos etc. Those 'Patches' that don't even look like patches at all (one colour patch, WOW!).
It's all up to who is willing to wait, willing to get something else, and willing to be brave and make a stand.
