I'm following the Wizards game today and came across POPS MENSAH-BONSU and had a little chuckle. I know there's been some weird names in basketball and some that I just call "alphabet" because I can even pronounce them. I'd like to hear some players names that you find unusual.....just to have a laugh.

Only real odd one's on basketball i can think of would be God Shamgod and Pap Sow. Now if we were to talk NFL..... that's a whole different story.

Zhizhi Wang (maybe not so unusual in China but any name that has the word Wang in it is a win for me)

Not particularly unusual, but imagine the type of player this guy could be!

Although he was presumably given that name (1992) well before Kobe, LeBron or Steve proved themselves as future hall of famers.

Fat Lever is awesome. He was a gun as well. Had Oscar Robertson-esque numbers for 4 seasons (19/8/8)

It's in honour of his father Joe "Jellybean" Bryant.

And I'll add Popeye Jones to the list.....currently an assistant at the Pacers.
