Bought this..... well doesnt matter what I bought...
Anyways, got this after 1 day of my successful bid being the winning one...
We Greatly appreciate you as a customer and we will help you the best that we can to make this a smooth transaction.
It has been 1 day since the auction has ended and you have not completed our checkout. There can be a few reasons for this:
1. You are waiting for another auction to close and want to combine them. If that is the case, please disregard this email but please remember that we need completed payment for the first closed auction within 7 days.
2. You have mailed in your payment but did not go into our checkout and complete the sale information so that we can have notification that you are intending to mail in your payment.
3. You made a PayPal payment outside of our checkout and our system has not recognized the payment. If this is the case, please go to checkout and enter your information but Do Not pay and when the payment is manually processed in the billing dept. your item should be manually updated as paid.
We must receive cleared payment within 7 days from the end of the auction to avoid loss of the item, Negative Feedback and a Non Payment Strike on your Ebay account.
Am I being too harsh, or is the seller sending automated messages that are un-warranted at the time of sending?
After only 1 day of successful winning bid, and getting a payment reminder, I find that rather rude, and offensive considering my track record of payments.
I think your response was fair, although I don't think there was anything wrong with theirs. Unless I read it too quickly, looks like they reminded you yes, but didn't say anything offensive which should spark a reaction. Wouldn't you just ignore it and pay within the 7 days knowing that's what they contacted you about. Although I doubt the seller would have made a special effort for you, probably sends it to all of his/her auctions which have recently been won.
somebody who has a lots of crappy ebay buyers and is sick of the hassle.
I think its there standard way of covering there but when the buyer dosnt respond.
Me! I send after one hr if I can - gets it outa the way....keeps everyone happy. If it says 7 days then I'd find it odd to get that after 1 day but I woulda replied perhaps a bit more politely personally - however I'm sure things will b fine
i think you were spot on, i think if it had got to 5 days then send a reminder, not after 1 day when you state payment should clear within 7 days, IDIOTS!
Not only after 1 day, but also kept emailing me 2 more weeks for a payment even after the purchsed product is residing at home for a couple of weeks (+ive feedback they have also left).. some people wanna go advance with technology and misuse it.. that's all about it (another thing is email snatching, sorry but you may be getting some more spams in the future)..
