I am amazed as to why there are all of a sudden seems to be so many uncut sheets become available for sale!

No disrespect for this seller at all, but if i had that particular sheet and had it copied x 100 at a printing company then i wonder how it would come out. The listing states odds of 1 in 20 but how are those odds calculated!

Sorry, i thought i had put the link!
Here it is

That is amazing, may i say, that within 2 hours of me posting this this and the item has been taken off!

Go figure!
1997 super league uncut sheet- 1 of 20 limited!

Yeah right!
I could have bought that and had it reprinted x 1000 quite easily!

Dynamic produced uncut sheets of the 1996 signature gold series that they numbered out of 250. Know a guy that has one framed.

I have seen plenty of uncut sheets of the Superleague

I think i still have an uncut sheet of superleague back at my mothers house, I dont know how he got 1 in 20, as far as i know if you bought the super league set you got the uncut sheet as well, And i sure there is 3000 sets of cards

Yep, that is probably my point!

This seller may or may not have had them reprinted and at the last bid of $66 b4 it was removed after i mentioned it here suggests to me that they are so easily copied and reprinted! I still have the page up on my computer but i dont know how to show it as it is!
I go to printing companies everyday and i see similar samples sent to coating places!

I'm sure it wasn't one out of twenty, but do people really think that sellers are getting their own sheets printed and selling them on ebay?! Doubt it!!!

I once bought a postcard 1921 rugby league off graysonline thinking it was so rare for $50, months later i bought the exact same postcard on ebay from a seller that has a lot of old stuff and the difference between the 2 was amazing as the 1 i bought from the ebay seller was mint and glossy, brand new as it has just been printed. The $5 postcard bought on ebay was near pristine and a noted Rugby League buyer/seller bought the same $5 postcard. I know this postcard was sold later by the buyer for only a small difference in the price and yes i still retain both!
I am aware that some items can be reprinted and sold not as authentic but as an item!

God damn it, Get rich qiuck schemes never work, LOL-)

Is this the one???
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

Yeah thats it. I know Steve - might shoot him a message and ask him what the go is with the 1 in 20.

With 3000 sets produced that means there is only 150 of these which i find extremely unlikely.

okay - i just had a look at my box that this set came in. Mystery solved as the where the 1 in 20 comes from.

However i remember that you used to be able to go into a sports memorabilia shop at Erina Fair (that may have been the same people as the sports shaq) and buy the sheets from next to nothing.

My understanding is that when Dynamic/intrepid when bust these were sitting at a printers and had not been paid for. The guy from the sports shaq rocked up and bought them direct of the printer. As such they did not make up part of the Dynamic stock sold off in the liquidation - the vast majority of which was bought by Cardzone.

I thought the guy who ran the Sports Shaq was the chap who made the SL cards? And he went bung. I used to visit him, and newshintaro1 (Western Collectables I seem to recall), down at The Entrance when Dynamic and Futera were big between 1993 and 1997. I remember the bloke in Card Shaq showing me the promo for the SL cards and then telling me the ARL was rubbish and Super League would rule the world, so I never shopped there again.

I don't recall him being in Erina Fair though. There is another sports memrobillia shop (which was closing down bt is still there I believe).

Anyway...if anyone has a set of these they don't want...PM me... :-) LOL!

Yes i got mine from the sports shaq back in the day. And seeing the price they are selling for on the bay i might have to sell mine..

Im amazed at what prices these sets go for. With 3000 produced they are not exactly rare. I guess alot of people hang onto them because of the Superleague thing.

The SL card where produced by Dynamic/Intrepid. You can see the badge on the back of the cards. They went broke before they came out. Card Shaq picked them up and released them.

Yep...that's them.

Oh. Cool. Learn something new all the time. Did Intrepid ever release anything else? I have the full set of Panthers 1997 SL cards...which I believe were supposed to be part of a base SL set but that never came out.

Was never a fan of the gatefold cards, but I want one each of the 5 stars for my PC.

The only other SL cards I have seen were the Telstra phonecards - 3 per team I believe.
